Yes. I believe Ducharme gave him a brain injury. He was injured early though wasn't he
He was out with injury. Or playing with one I rememberYes. I believe Ducharme gave him a brain injury.
Didn’t he only sign 1 year with the ducks, hoping to cash-in next year when the cap theoretically goes up?He signed long contract. I can't see Habs retaining on him. Will hurt team long term

Kent might be done for now
Did anyone see the Monahan deal coming? I wouldn’t put anything past Hughes.Quiet

I want him for his profile pic alone. LolI really want Fantilli next year
Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Caufield
Dach - Fantilli - Anderson
XXX - Dvorak/Monahan* - Gallagher
XXX: one of our prospects like Roy, Mesar, Mysak
* I think we will only keep one so who lever is left is the 3C
good point!Did anyone see the Monahan deal coming? I wouldn’t put anything past Hughes.
Slaf starting in Laval is beyond a no brainer.I think they'll go into camp with the current roster and see where the chips fall then. Either ship someone out or waive them.
With Byron seemingly not ready for camp and preseason, Habs have 15F. If Slaf starts in Laval, they'll be at 14F.
So at this moment, no need to rush anything. Maybe err on the side of caution in case guys get hurt at camp/preseason.
Of course I say all that and there is still the possibility they make a move before camp.
I understand the 2024 draft is also a deep one. After 30 years since our last Cup win, what’s a few more years? Monahan at 2C or 3C is not the answer to our becoming a contender. And next year assuming Monahan leaves?
I'd rather not trade Dvorak until we know we have both 2C and 3C covered.

I think we have too many forwards.
uhh? we are drafting Bedard.I really want Fantilli next year

Is anyone actually saying that Monahan projects as a 2C on this team, long term? Who knows if he can even be a 3C or just a C anymore, until we see him play. Maybe he’ll be a winger or maybe, he’ll just be flipped at the trading deadline. Much too early to tell what he’ll be.I understand the 2024 draft is also a deep one. I’ve argued the same, shortly after his arrival. Makes sense as it gives Dach time to hone his skills.Expect him to be a winger that takes some faceoffs in the defensive zone. Ie. he's there to train Dach.
