Then why would you want him if he’s overpaid and cap at a huge premium while Habs are desperately trying to shed cap?

Myers is horrible but only has 2 years left on is deal. Gallagher from the West, played in Vancouver, maybe it give them a bit leadership and flexibility if the have to trade Miller or Horvat…

Dobson is going to be a beast in this league to get him you would have to dig deep in our core and you would have to add even then the Islanders would not even think about it.

Myers is a right handed d. Even if he sucks, it still gives him some, but very little value.
The way Gallagher is trending, his contract would be name near impossible to trade.
...Vancouver needs to get rid of Cap, not add to it...and, for some strange reason, apparently Myers is still thought of as a fairly important piece in Vancouver...

Hey I'm from CTThe Beauvillier fascination on this board is hilarious, perplexing and disturbing all at the same time.
Why would anyone want him, much less at a premium??? Change his name to Bowton from Connecticut and literally no one would know who he was much less include him in any trade proposal.

Not yet. HuGo likely has to make at least 1 more trade (cap dump) before the start of the season to be compliant as he has to sign Dach and will likely claim a RHD off waivers and we have less than $1M right now to do both.
We may get some relief if either Price or Byron go on LTIR but if Price stays healthy than an Allen or Monty trade or Monty waiver will have to happen as we’re carrying 3 goalies on 1 way contacts.

Allen has to worth something.
But habs need him as well, for now
last year of Allen’s contract. He’s more than likely going to get traded at one point during this season to make sure we get something for him.
Allen is on the last year of his contract at 2.875 mil. He should be worth something as a backup at the trade deadline especially if the Habs retain. A team could add a backup even if they have very little cap space.
What does everyone think about making a play for Chychrun?

If we somehow bring Dubois home, I'd rather Chychrun than Hubs at thus point.
The question becomes cost. Not sure we make good trading partners with Arizona as we are both rebuilding teams. I think it would cost us future's to do this.
PLD for Dvorak + Kidney + Mailloux
Chychrun for Florida 1st (top 5 protected) + Drouin + Roy + Norlinder.
As I type it I don't like it. But Chych plus PLD would send us into the stratosphere.

Chychrun is a decent player but has been hurt every season. And he is on the left side where we have two vets already. Waste of cap.
I would prefer a RHD.
I also don't think your offer gets us Dubois. I'm not saying to offer much more but I now believe that Dubois is not coming via trade unless we overpay, and why should we?

These offers are both awful for the other team whilst making no sense for the rebuild.
The Dubois offer is a decent deal for Winnipeg. Makes no sense for Montreal.
...trading for Dubois makes no sense for Montreal atm...we are in no way, shape, or form ready to start trading away futures for "The Now"; that was one of Bargain Bin's biggest failings...if he wants to come "home" on a good contract in two years, fine...
Mailloux has zero value and people need to understand this. He's a pr nightmare people won't take on
Carolina took on Deangelo. Not all markets are as media centric as Montreal

Unless you get a major overpayment for him you just keep him. He ll still be in the tail end of his prime when the team starts to challenge
