NO team yet for PK?? I guess MTL did not lose that trade
Subban had one very good year in Nashville, but was dumped after his third there. Not worth $9M, unfortunately.

If we get a 2nd round pick or better for Dadonov, that would be amazing.

You’re really reaching here. Florida’s defence is not almost as bad as Montreal’s. I’d trade our 6 defencemen for half of Ekblad. Heck Brandon Montour would be our best defender. They have two solid goaltenders. Their top 6 forwards are elite. Lundell is going to take a step forward. Maybe Luostarinen. They have Denisenko, Heponiemi waiting in the wings.

They might take a step back but this isn’t going to be a Top 15 pick.
You are wrong on all coumts. The defene is weak. They were giving up 5 goals a game last season and are worse now,Bob is average now at best. Their best hope is Knight. Luostarinen, Denisenko and Heponiemi are nothing special. Roy and Farrell have more potential. Their top 6 is very good. NOT elite. With the strength of the division it wouldn't take a lot for them to miss the playoffs.

fully agree, and such teams that were close for long yet unable to break through and after a year they mortgaged the future and failed, this can spiral fast, like really fast.
I will go on record and predict a florida team outside the playoffs.

Wow ! It's not like you to be negative.
Im realist. Like some people who think we were making playoffs last year and we had 9 20 goalscorers while i called a bottom 3. This roster is even worse this year. Unless some kids go ham during preseason

Gallagher was hurt so many times last year. Let's see what he can do with a full season.

Anderson, well, when your hockey IQ is that low, not much MSL can do. Anderson, in my opinion, is bad because he's a mediocre scorer who is loved for his size but can't play defense. And the offense isn't enough to cover that. If he was better defensively, I would be a fan.
Gallagher for me started to decline on the covid year. His numbers are going down and down. I don't really look at the Canadian division seadon because i think that division was god awful

Honestly, Buffalo may be a bigger wildcard than Detroit. The have a lot of prospects that will be hitting right now, many of them with significant upside.
Red wings did a lot but not sure it will work.
Sabres could be anywhere, if things go wrong like they always do they could be in the race for a top pick, but would not bet against them making the playoffs either.

As previous poster said. This is the yesr we see how much Gallagher regressed . Was it the injuries and short offseason that exasperated the decline? Or hé actually is on a free fall .
I don’t know what to think on that matter . Facts say he declined but I also remember times when perry was Thought to be washed up and then he started going season after season of very solid play

Gallagher's production didn't really drop until this last season.

Assuming you mean the COVID year was not last season, but the season before. He was actually on pace for a career high in goals and right in his normal 53 point range.

This past season, he produced less falling to a 35 point pace.

If you mean it started in the playoffs, before last season, sure. But no one on our team really produced except Suzuki, Toffoli (who still got chirped), Caufield, and to a lesser extent, Perry.

And if you mean the year when COVID started,19-20, Gallagher was on pace for a career high 60 points.

As much as I would love to get rid of the contract, his decline length is overblown. Offensively, it's been one season. The injuries, however, are taking their toll.

He's been abysmal since the covid series against Pittsburgh , for me it's been going downward since then not gonna lie.

I mean, 14 goals (23 points) in 35 games the next year isn't really abysmal.

If that's abysmal, I hope he returns to being abysmal so he becomes tradeable.

We'll see about Gallagher.....he'll always be overpaid cause it was an overpayment since day 1 no matter what but he was playing hurt and he was also heavily frustrated.

No one wanted to play for Ducharme, he was also pissed to be pushed on the 3rd line to start the year.....all the tweets he made about referee calling off goals, it showed.

14 points in 29 games when MSL took off.
But only 3 goals and normally Gallagher scores more goals than he have assists.

And there's that 3.9% for shot %

That's what tell me that something was probably wrong physically cause that's just horrible, almost impossible. Guys like Armia or Poehling are at 10%.....even Edmundson and Savard are around 8%.

The season before, Gallagher was at 13.2%
During the playoff it drop also to precisely 3.9%

He was playing with a tear in his hip in the PO...mentioned that same injury at end of the year......
