Max for me is 2 years at 3 mil per for Perron. Ideally you just extend for another year at 4mil.
Yeah that is just way too much. He is already slow, next year is going to be terrible.Max for me is 2 years at 3 mil per for Perron. Ideally you just extend for another year at 4mil.
If Yzerman wont sign him, im sure someone else will.Yeah that is just way too much. He is already slow, next year is going to be terrible.
just put him in an office role or part of the locker room staff and call it a day.
Sooo... let them??If Yzerman wont sign him, im sure someone else will.
I'm saying, lets get away from this "give him a staff job" nonsense. I understand if fans don't want him re-signed, but to think the team can just keep him around for a locker room presence as a non player seems weird. assuming he still wants to play of course.Sooo... let them??

Yeah personally I'd rather just let him go. We cant sign everyone.Honestly I'm on the fence for re-signing him at all. Maybe a year but I wouldn't want to go two.
i'm sure as well. His name carries more weight than his actual game play. Totally fine if he wants to leave and play somewhere else.If Yzerman wont sign him, im sure someone else will.
He is a vet leadership guy, I'd prefer to go year to year at this point with him.Honestly I'm on the fence for re-signing him at all. Maybe a year but I wouldn't want to go two.
If that's the defence, i'd rather find a defenseman than a new forward and just keep trusting our depth.Unless Perron loves Detroit and wants to sign a sub 2 mil deal I just don't see how Detroit can fit him unless Stevie deals out some contracts. Fabbri, Maata, and one of Holl or Kostin probably.
Seider 8.5, Ray 7, Kane 5, Ed 0.894, Fischer 1.25, Sprong 3.5 leaves us with less than a mil in cap space with a 11 forwards, 7dman, and 2 goalies. Maybe if we get a little bit of a discount of the 5 non ELCs we can squeeze out 2 mil to fill out that 12th forward spot.
Perron being signed would also mean Veleno and Berggy were probably traded. Also run into issues with losing Aljo for free since I believe he is waiver exempt.
At the deadline I'd look to deal Maata and Fabbri for sure and maybe Veleno/ Berggren for an upgrade at forward.
Then you plan to run something like below for next season:
DBC-Larkin-Ray (7)
New Forward (5.5 Max)-Compher-Kane (5)
Fischer (1.25)-Copp-Ras
Kostin-Veleno (2)-Sprong (3.5)
Seider (8.5)- Walman
Chiarot- Ed (.89)
Holl- Petry/Aljo (.85)
Petry-Aljo
Which would put you about .5 mil over the cap (87.5 mil) at those numbers. You can probably get that back through a discount on other deals. To sign Perron we'd have to deal Kostin and he'd have to take that deal.
I think Buch could be someone that we could probably make fit at the 5.8 he's at for next season. Then if we want to resign him, one of Copp or Compher would likely need to be dealt with Kasper or Danielson taking over that center role go forward.
I don't disagree with this but you'd need to probably find a taker for Holl to do this. As we'd need to clear a spot and Petry has the NMC and Aljo is on min and I'd hate to just lose him without giving a shot. We'd basically need Hanafin because outside of him I see no one available that is worth the money. If that's the defence, i'd rather find a defenseman than a new forward and just keep trusting our depth.
Except Perron is a benefit to the team and a mentor, while Cleary was like a parasitic butthole worm who only stayed with the team because he had photos of Babcock and Holland doing blow off of Amelia Earhart's backside or some shit. It explains why Babcock wanted to check phones in Columbus; he was just checking to make sure they weren't still circulating.time is a circle and the Perron is the new Cleary, right down to how it eventually ends
Set your eyes on Florida, Ekblad or Montour becomes available in July, Zito cannot afford to keep them both. A pipe dream but if and thats a biggest if, in the history of if's, Forsling decides to test the markets. I'd throw 7x7,5 in that direction in a heartbeat.I don't disagree with this but you'd need to probably find a taker for Holl to do this. 1-year is maximum for any +35 guy.
For sure.
You guys should not worry about it. It's Yzerman for christ sakes.
its over 2 weeks away and man I am just antsy here expecting something to happen by this sunday. It feels like the trades are starting much later this year right?
come on...GIVE ME SOME ACTION
We're all old and senile with dementia and keep saying the same thing over and over. At least I have company now, so I don't feel so lonely. How many times must you post the same thought?

The plus side is that we make new friends every day, they often seems like the old friends. We're all old and senile with dementia and keep saying the same thing over and over. At least I have company now, so I don't feel so lonely.
Husso's contract for Lyon's contract. Can we trade these lol?

It does and i often repeat the same story i told them a minute ago but back to trade ideas, how about...... just shooting from the hip..... Aaron Ekblad, after the season. Florida can't afford to keep all of them. They have to let someone go, it just might be Ekblad.I hate it when I go to a bar and introduce myself to people that I've already met, lol. Alcohol makes senility worse.
