I say no on Malkin for selfish reasons. I don't think his lazy floating style is what we need and I don't want to give the Pens anything when they start their rebuild. They must suffer.

He's not worth more than a million and he's not top-9 material. At some point there will be someone healthier and cheaper who will take his role. And i believe he was already ready to go back to Russia until Yzerman stepped in.

He is doing his job and i like the physicality but Fischer, Ras and Veleno are more useful players.

I'd be shocked if Stevie makes any big TDL trades. He might pick up some insurance type players since there's no roster limit after the deadline. Too early to buy playoff rentals.

Kane was that, hoarding summer UFAs too. We have great depth now, promote Berggren or Edvinsson if needed.

Maybe some hockey trade will happen if the pieces are right, but it would also be valuable to stand pat, just to keep current chemistries. Even Kane was hard to insert on team, let's not f*** this current team up.

Maybe some hockey trade will happen if the pieces are right, but it would also be valuable to stand pat, just to keep current chemistries. Even Kane was hard to insert on team, let's not f*** this current team up.

I could see them going after a faceoff/pk specialist but outside of that I'm not expecting much unless a true hockey trade pops up for Stevie. I can't see him dealing more than like a 3rd for a bit of depth if we are still in the hunt at the deadline.

This whole narrative comes across like a big echo chamber to me. 1 person says something on the internet and then 100 other people say it.

2 years ago every single fanbase would have wanted Zegras on their team. Now he has all these significant flaws in his game and you don't want him? Yeah, that doesn't add up to me.

It's kind of like on the prospect board where every said Lindstrom had IQ issues and then now everyone has him top 5. I get real skeptical when I see people repeating stuff on here just because.

Chychrun played for Little Caesars but I wouldn't call him a "Michigan kid". From what I have read he was born in Florida but has lived most of his life in Ottawa, and the vast majority of his family lives in Ottawa.
