We have about zero need for him. Goal scoring is not an issue, defensive structure is, and Zegras is not the answer.

Everytime there's half a star player available, a lot of fans are ready to overpay a lot. I am really looking forward to these guys getting traded somewhere else, just so I can stop reading about "trade proposals" that take Zegras, Markstrom, or Lindholm to Detroit.

Yep, we have Berggren to play maybe better and especially more cost-controlled than Zegras.

Pass.

Yzerman and Verbeek are thinking with pretty much same brains. If Verbeek is throwing Zegras out, so would be Yzerman.

What about Edvinsson for Cutter Gauthier? Just the kind of player the Wings need, but I guess they wanted a strictly offensive defenseman. So, maybe ASP could have tempted them . . .

The value may shift to Zegras because he's established, but I take Edvinsson 10 times out of 10.

Isn't some of the speculation coming out of the Gauthier trade that he was pissy because Philly wouldn't fast track him?

... He ain't gonna like it here lol. And we already saw how that story played out with Yzerman and Drouin.

Yeah I agree, if you can get him for a song like that it's an easy yes.

Defense can be taut, it's an attitude/mentality. Idk if Zegras would buy in or not I don't know the kid like that or what's up even in Anaheim but I do know defense isn't as much about "skill" and is more about "will".

Seems like some of you have never seen Zegras play if you’d rather have Cutter f***ing Gauthier, or think Berggren could hold Zegras’s jockstrap.

He would be the most skilled player on this team beyond Kane. Instantly.

Once again I also wouldn’t give up Ed, but Zegras is getting underrated in here, not overrated.

I would also add that the question isn't do we need offense now ... it's what do we need 3-4 years from now - and looking at our prospects and young players, we absolutely need more scoring and skill.

Absolutely not, good defence carriers the team further and keeps the team in conterder phase longer than good offence.

Oilers/Leafs vs Bruins/Vegas

Ed designed to stop "Zegras's", they keep trying to score "Michigan"-goals. Ed just uses his size and reach to get the puck away.

Lmao@celebrity hockey player. If he wants to be a diva then hell no! But if he wants to come here grind, work and show off his skills he would be an awesome addition. I would throw in Copp too just cuz lol

I’d rather add more to that package and get a player better than Zegras. Zegras is a flashy name, but you’re buying a fancily wrapped package trading for him
