2nd line of DeBrincat - Compher - Kane is good
3rd line of Fabbri - Veleno - Sprong looks good when together
4th line of Rasmussen - Copp - Fischer is serviceable, though I want to launch Copp out of the trebuchet.

Perron - Larkin - Raymond...
Larkin needs another winger. Someone better than Perron.

Guentzel is UFA next season. He'd be realgud.
Elias Lindholm brings utility and would allow us to either make Compher 3C or a winger, or put Lindholm on the wing.
What other sub-30 year old scoring wingers could Detroit acquire at a reasonable cost? Rumors that Kuzmenko and Tocchett don't like each other. I wonder what he would cost.

Write down on a piece of paper of 3 guys under 24 you would refuse to trade under any circumstances, ever! Then be prepared to add at least one of those guys towards getting Zegras if he really is available.

If you want Zegras, then be prepared to trade a player(s) that you would absolutely HATE immediately after the official trade announcement. It starts there.

I don't think it will be that much. That and we don't have any of those.

I'd imagine Yzerman and Verbeek's conversation would go something like this:

Yzerman: He Verbs, if Zegras is on the market give me first shot.

Verbeek: You know Stevie, I think we're great trade partners and you know how much I like Seider...

Yzerman: [nothing]

Verbeek: Stevie, you still there?

Yzerman: Verbs, let me anonymously post this on HFboards Red Wings forum to see what kind of feedback I get. I'll get back to you...

Verbeek: No don't do that!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!

Yzerman: /ends call.

Not sure what your response means pertaining to the bold in the quote?

If Ducks call to offer up Zegras for Seider you would say yes?

Nope, never said I would. If you will kindly look at your first quote in bold you said refuse to trade under any circumstances ever. That means for ANY player. We don’t have any of those.

I see you failed to answer my direct question. Typical dot

By your definition there’s no untouchable players in the league.

Here..solved..

Seider for McDavid = yes
Seider for Bedard = coin toss
Seider for Zegras = no

Now...here's the thing

McDavid = generational superstar likely top 5 player to ever play the game

Bedard = franchise all star who you hope is on par with a Sakic/Yzerman type impact(not style just impact)

Zegras = good exciting player who flips between a 1st and 2nd line player for the next 10 years

Those 3 players do not overlap whatsoever

That's hilarious. There's no coin toss between Seider and Bedard. If Chicago called and offered seider for bedard then it'd be a done deal in seconds. Bedard is a phenom and any gm who said no to that would be fired.

Maybe

I think, based on my post, that Bedard is incredible..

However, I liken Seider to a #1 franchise dman and i place alot of value on those
I agree D are important. Lidstrom is my favorite all time player. But even if we somehow traded seider for bedard we would still have an awesome top D pairing of edvinsson- ASP along with wallinder, wallman and Johansson. So our D would be still very good and again we would now have bedard.
