Baby Wild need help, so you want the Wild to draft the only players that by rule CAN'T play in the AHL for two years?

Also, we still have our 2nd this year. We don't have next years. The Moulson trade was 2014 and 2016 2nd Round Picks.

Yes, because by all extents, we let college players (or players going to college) have 3-4 years to develop.

The influx into Iowa will be coming in the next couple years. Gilmour, Tuch, Lucia, Draeger, Belpedio, Labbe and Michalek to join Olofsson, Graovac, etc...

Would probably be pretty cheap. I think Blues fans were saying pretty good things about him when he went to Columbus earlier this year.

Maybe even just for Florida's 7th.

I think Leopold would be a good pickup if we can get him for a late round pick. I just don't see many great options out there whose prices aren't inflated because of the TDL.

This. Please. I cannot be the only one who is annoyed with this transition of a "college reunion" of so many of these players. Are we getting Paul Martin next? Might as well trade the 1st and Nino to TOR for Kessel too.

If he wants a job in 2 years, he will probably want to get deep in the playoffs again. Unless this team is getting Top 8, the pick won't matter anyways for his tenure.

Nothing wrong with getting Leopold. Has nothing to do with the fact he's a former Gopher. Cheap price for a decent depth defenseman...that's all.

Has absolutely nothing to do with where he went to school... and absolutely everything to do with the fact that he's a cheap left handed mobile d-man that can give us needed depth for the playoffs.

Ignore where he's from and just look at what he would provide this team and it's a no-brainer that it would be a welcome addition at a cheap price.

Who gives a crap who someone played for as long as they help the team? Doesn't matter if he's a gopher, badger, sioux, canadian, russian, etc as long as they put the puck in the back of the opponent's net and keep it out of ours.

I love it. :D

:biglaugh: it is so damn annoying though.

At what cost though? So Folin can be scratched again or sent to Iowa. We all know it won't be Prosser or Dumba that will be the odd man out. All for having depth if another injury happens, and if it is on the cheap then by all means. My previous post is the fact it always seems to be someone with a damn tie to here as of late. Not to mention it is still for picks that Fletcher keeps saying are something we cannot afford to be trading. Late round or no, this isn't exactly the NBA where late rounds picks hardly ever pan out.

So say I wanted to make a deal that started with Sending Pomminville to Toronto for Phil Kessel.

Realistically what do the Wild have to add? I'm thinking their first round pick is a given.

Pominville + 1st round pick + top prospect for Kessel... Maybe.

Either way, Pominville will likely be undervalued by Toronto fans.

I mainly include Pominville to send some salary back to Toronto. But yeah, I doubt Toronto fans would be thrilled with Pommers... even though they likely saw a lot of him in his buffalo days.

People ***** about Vanek and then want to bring Kessel here? You want Yeo to coach Kessel?

And you're going to have to shed more salary than just Pomm, who is cheap for the amount of offense he brings and is not a defensive liability and is a good leader on this team.
