Stanley asking to be traded is like the fry cook at McDonalds asking for a raise.

The reserve fry cook, who only gets the keys to the fryer when the regular guy gets sick.

I mean, more power to him, and I have no doubt someone takes a flyer on all that 6'7" he brings, but he's had a long leash. Although it might be argued that his run might have begun a year earlier than it did.

I'm probably one of the few who loved it when the Jets pick him , yes he had warts but i thought with time he would get there, well I've seen enough he is just not capable of being a regular in the NHL, yes he has a long stick but his feet fail him all to often
He's also not a very smart hockey player . But if other GM's are reading this right now he's a very good, smart defenseman so we expect alot in return.

Brain fails him. As a big guy he constantly gives up the middle of the rink with no resistance to go off and chase a ghost on the wall or the corner. The only advantage to being long with the stick is if you rule the middle.

The Rangers are doomed then…
What are you talking about?

Two different companies in two starkly different markets with different cultures and different fan base sizes.

Idgaf what you think about the Provorov situation, I don't want to talk about it but it's undeniable that the Jets put a heavy weight on equality and social justice. Though as I've come to realize through this original discussion there's plenty of good ol boys in Manitoba, but urban Canadians and Winnipeg specifically are much more evolved in the realm of equality.

The Rangers have a huge fan base and can afford to be less concened about these issues, coupled with the fact that more Americans are wilfully ignorant to the needs of minorities.
