Wut?
Preds have an expansion level of picks AND prospects coming.
Who you guys think they are taking about?

granlund, duchene or fabbroWho you guys think they are taking about?
I seriously doubt it. If he had actual names he would have posted it for the bonus clicks.I don’t doubt we’re still listening on offers but does Gallagher actually have any inside info? It sort of seems like he just makes vague or obvious statements to appear in the know.
Barrie. Possibly Lankinen. Granny is a long-shot.Who you guys think they are taking about?
bro why u so obsessed with trading BarrieBarrie. Possibly Lankinen. Granny is a long-shot.
I don’t know whether it would be Chychrun in particular but I wouldn’t be surprised if we do package some of the picks we’ve gotten for a young more proven player like Chychrun. That’s the approach St Louis took to get O’Reilly and Schenn and it worked out well for them.Johansen + EDM 2023 1st for Miller?
You know, it's not THAT asinine. We have a prime Josi, a prime Saros and a prime Forsberg on our roster - those are the type of players we may never get from all the picks we have. Flipping Nino, who was a free UFA signing anyways, Jeannot who Tampa seriously overpaid and Ekholm who was nearing the end of his prime for multiple future pieces AND a prime Chychrun?
I could see it happening. We have to try to leverage those primes while they are still here,
Fabbro has long time been rumored as possible on the move.
Granlund and duchene make sense to listen on but doubt they could get moved at the moment.
Barrie - im not sure what our plan is here. He doesnt really fit our window unless we are doing a fire from the hip and immediate flip for next season.
McDonagh makes less sense to move now that ekholm is gone.
Lankinen makes sense to move as theres a market for goalies. We will just have to get a lesser goalie from somewhere else.
Listen on sissons if the trade makes sense.
At some point though, we do need to retain some vets
Cause he's not a part of our long-term plan and could be a valuable asset on a season he's putting a ton of points?bro why u so obsessed with trading Barrie
Sissons has a cap hit and pedigree that would make him attractive to a team looking to acquire the quintessential "veteran depth"Who you guys think they are taking about?
Nah Gallagher sucks. He’s essentially one of us with press credentialsI don’t doubt we’re still listening on offers but does Gallagher actually have any inside info? It sort of seems like he just makes vague or obvious statements to appear in the know.
Sissons definitely.Sissons has a cap hit and pedigree that would make him attractive to a team looking to acquire the quintessential "veteran depth"
After losing Ekholm I cant see why we still would move Fabbro unless hes already been judged to be "not a Fit" here.
Several teams are looking at goalies so Lanky is also possible.
I dont see too many teams able to squeeze in Grannys cap hit but who knows.Nah Gallagher sucks. He’s essentially one of us with press credentials
Sissons definitely.
Granlund should be another obvious one.
then I’ll say in order from most likely to least.. Fabbro (based off rumors), lankinen, Duchene, McDonagh, Trenin, Saros.
I would be holding on to fabbro. I would shop Lauzon and try to flip Barrie.
I'm not sure about Chychrun in particular, but I agree with this thought process. As mentioned, it's becoming the alternate to hoarding picks and burning the team to the ground and is definitely a strategy I could see being employed here.Johansen + EDM 2023 1st for Miller?

it would be the wrong strategy and a continuation of poile. we need to let Trotz get his guys in here and really build something that he likes.I'm not sure about Chychrun in particular, but I agree with this thought process. We're assuming Trotz wants to ship off the whole roster and wait 4-5 years for picks to pay off--I don't know we have any firm idea at this point this is the direction he wants to take.it would be the wrong strategy and a continuation of poile. we need to let Trotz get his guys in here and really build something that he likes.
that’s the feel I got from his quotes. You’re right though. We don’t know but I hope that’s the route he takes. The young guys in the lineup currently will take what 2-3 years to really hit their stride? We see the season trenin and Jeannot are having. I think patience is key here and Trotz will get that from me.We're assuming Trotz wants to ship off the whole roster and wait 4-5 years for picks to pay off--I don't know we have any firm idea at this point this is the direction he wants to take.
I don't know man. As I said we have some real quality pieces on this roster as is.it would be the wrong strategy and a continuation of poile. we need to let Trotz get his guys in here and really build something that he likes.
i think we could become a playoff team immediately if it works out like you stated above. but winning a cup? Josi turns 33 in June. Duchene is 32. McDonagh 34 in June. the only guys I see arguments for are Forsberg and Saros.I don't know man. As I said we have some real quality pieces on this roster as is.
Supplementing the roster with another quality veteran or two (and a new coach obviously) could really catapult this thing quickly while injecting our prospect pool with some high-end talent.
Fair enough.i think we could become a playoff team immediately if it works out like you stated above. but winning a cup? Josi turns 33 in June. Duchene is 32. McDonagh 34 in June. the only guys I see arguments for are Forsberg and Saros.
The cup is too much of a crap shoot. it’s about maximizing a window with a solid core. No one on this roster should be untouchable. Forsberg and Saros the closest thing to it but I would listen on everyone.
I believe we do.Fair enough.
But adding a 25-year-old d-man like Chychrun? He could be a mainstay on our blueline for a decade and carry over to his prime with the new core.
I'm not saying blindly that we should just do it but it is something worth considering. I truly think we have some pieces left on this team that we could build around a contender.
Barrie is kind of a specialist; an O guy playing some D or at least the position. He is the poster boy for a deadline trade. Preds are virtually out of playoffs this year and Barrie doesn’t fit the future here. Flip, flip, flip for virtually anything. Fill in this year on D with “a player to be named later”.Nah Gallagher sucks. He’s essentially one of us with press credentials
Sissons definitely.

Josi, Forsberg, Saros prime has done little the last two seasons to move this team forward. Adding young guys from the pipeline in a couple more years can impact with those three. It’s rare rookies have an immediate impact when they do they have names like McDavid , Crosby really generational talent . It took McKinnon 3 years to impact, Taylor Hall has yet to move a team to the finals he has had good years . We have a couple guys that will be NHL guys but by the time they are clicking Josi for sure will be pretty much finished. In no way would I like to see Josi traded he has been my favorite player in this team since his second year. People laughed back then when I said he would be better that Weber and made a case that Weber should be traded. I want Josi to retire here but I also would not blam him if he wanted out to make a cup run.Johansen + EDM 2023 1st for Miller?
