I'm just absolutely stunned. With the amount of high draft picks we've sent their way, you'd think we could have swung it for a lesser forward like Hagelin and really gone balls to the wall for a cup run.

I don't get it. Not with the 1st included. Makes no sense to me.

It was either going to be picks or prospects. We were not getting MSL for Cally alone.
Losing a #1 and #2 is preferable to losing some combination of Miller, Skej, and Duclair IMO.
As someone said previously, see if you can get a #2 back for Boyle.
Moore is your #4 center. Dorsett, Carcillo can play the wings.
Miller stays and Zucc coming back Friday.
 
People say 2015 is stacked now...you never know, guys drop etc ...also, chances are the thinking is 2015 will be lower than 2014, where the scout team has a much better idea of who is worth it...

Callahan plus picks for St.Louis>signing Callahan for 6x6. I hate giving draft picks also, but unless the picks turn into something substantial shortly, we gotta take a run while Henrik still has his good years left.

You'd rather give up hagelin than what will be a late first round draft pick. A proven 3rd line speed ball with a slight upside for a lottery ticket?

That's a 3rd in 2015 and a 5th in 2014 for Hemsky. As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, EDM takes back some salary. #Tradecentre
 
Ouch, EDM gets screwed there. Hemsky might be streaky, but he's still a legit top 6 forward. Bad picks and they eat salary.
 
Don't think we have the assets to acquire Kesler without really tearing this team apart. Doubt it happens. More likely we'd go for a guy like McGinn from COL.
