Yeah Fasching looks to be a very good, hard working tough checking line player. Only saw him during the WJC, and he stood out on a lackluster USA team.

I knew Gaborik was going to be a great rental but Matt Frattin? the one body you get back. Did he get awesome recently without my noticing (which would be easy).

Kings Sabres deal is very ??? to me. I don't know who any of those guys are and the Sabres sent TWO 2nds? Is this Faschling guy that one kid everyone was drooling over during WJCs?

Kind of wish we had traded for Gaborik at the lesser price, rather than St. Louis. St. Louis is obviously the better player, but trading two first round picks potentially is a lot. Something around Callahan + conditional picks for Gaborik. At least with Gaborik, you could sign him at a decent price at the end of the year

It's friggin Detroit. Holland was on TSN saying they are waiting on word on Datsyuk. Detroit has great pieces to offer and they are in on Kesler, Vanek, Moulson.

Not sure I believe the "shocked" part of this. He had the opportunity to stay, he chose not to.

He's shocked Sather actually traded him. He wouldn't have made those ridiculous salary demands unless he thought Sather was too scared to trade the Captain.
