I wouldn’t care as much if we had a few promising D prospects that would be arriving to help in the next couple years. It’s Johnson (maybe) and that’s it. Anyone else is 3-4 off if I remember correctly

Gotta be their 1st round pick. They are slightly lower than us in the standings. However I can't imagine that was something that couldn't be overcome with an additional pick.
I'm not ready to crucify Adams yet, but he better stop sitting on his hands.

I agree with you. They need to improve the defense.

But the D is set for next season. They have seven under contract for next year. There will be no additions.

On Sabres Live Marty said the locker room became incredibly dejected every year when the Sabres did not make deadline moves to help the team.

It seems like it. Marty's comments about how deflating that deal was during one of the Sabres Live in the last week still stick with me.

I know Klingberg is available but he's a rental. Would certainly trust him with the puck more than most of our D, but honestly I think Joki is better defensively than him, and that's not saying that much.

Parayko I could live with because hockey wise I think he's a good fit for what we need. But he's also not ideal in terms of age and contract and I don't see why Adams would be willing to spend for him but not Chychrun.

I like Fabbro but he's more of a Jokiharju lateral but he has a better body of work from a few years ago working with Josi than Jokiharju does working with Dahlin IMO.

I think you saw some of that Tuesday against CBJ with the injuries in the midst of all those teams upgrading. If you’re Tage Thompson you’ve got to be thinking WTF are these guys doing building out our weak spots?

Those “off-season“ moves everyone talks about…they’re happening. Right now.

I can’t believe they weren’t willing to beat that price on Cychrun. Exactly what they need and they could’ve given up assets from a position of need. Really makes me feel like they’re chill with this just being another rebuilding year.

He built a pretty good team that's doing much better then expected. Back at the beginning of the season most of you would be thrilled that we battling for a playoff spot. This season was a development season and it's turned out better then expected. I wasn't expecting much this season but if they don't do major additions to help the areas that need it in the off season then there is reason to be upset
