Had high hopes for this TDL.
Not looking good right now given what's transpired around them.
That seems like a good price given the extra year at a reasonable salary. If they can get a first back for Lindholm I’d happily flip that plus the team’s 2025 1st to St. Louis.
On top of the league this year and rivals loading up....I dunno if it's the same for other fanbases, but I always feel like Canucks fans work themselves into a lather over the TDL and virtually nothing noteworthy happens.
Yeah, I understand. On top of the league this year and rivals loading up....
OkTanev and Walker are pretty close in net effect. They get deployed at a #3/#4 level at ES, have similar SH TOI/GP, and Walker is a shade better in net shot attempts created. (Slight edge to Tanev). It would absolutely be a deal for VAN. No question in my mind.
Ok sedins long gone, and we still need adds rn to keep up.Yeah, I understand.
There were many TDLs like this during the Sedin years.
And, as multiple people have pointed out, the Canucks were being proactive throughout the season with Zadorov, etc.
I really do not think we should have done anything....certainly not give up 5 players for Lindholm who is a rental to boot! We were leading the league and were just fine....and now look at what we have done since the trade! Please, Jim, as difficult as this might be, we are better off not selling even more assets. On top of the league this year and rivals loading up....
Allvin better be checking in on the asking price for Martin Rucinsky and Geoff Sanderson.
I’m still praying Buchnevich becomes a Canuck. He’s been the guy I’ve wanted all along. Size, speed, skill, physicality, two way, under $6M for another year, 28 years old.
Normally, I would agree, but I think they keep the money open to take a run at Guentzel/Tanev in the offseason.
Curious as to your opinion: Would you rather make that move for Buchnevich, or trade the 2025 1st with Mikheyev and get a depth F/D?
Even if they take Mikheyev, I think we’d have to run a 22 man roster the rest of the season to make that work.I’m still praying Buchnevich becomes a Canuck. He’s been the guy I’ve wanted all along. Size, speed, skill, physicality, two way, under $6M for another year, 28 years old.
I don't know how connected he is, but Drance today was adamant that the Canucks still like Mikheyev and think he bounces back next year.Mikheyev better be going to Arizona for Zucker.
He’d be someone I’d be comfortable giving up our 1st next year and Pod for, especially if the Blues retain salary on him since he’s not a strict rental. I’d be pumped with him and Toffoli and then getting Joshua back shortly after and signing Kessel.I’m still praying Buchnevich becomes a Canuck. He’s been the guy I’ve wanted all along. Size, speed, skill, physicality, two way, under $6M for another year, 28 years old.
Pay the price if the take mik. 1st, 2nd, pod, raty, Klim...Even if they take Mikheyev, I think we’d have to run a 22 man roster the rest of the season to make that work.
And then you’re trying to figure out what two firsts is equivalent to.
But with the blues still in the race for a WC it would be expensive ask from their side as they have no pressure point to trade him.I’m still praying Buchnevich becomes a Canuck. He’s been the guy I’ve wanted all along. Size, speed, skill, physicality, two way, under $6M for another year, 28 years old.
Rationally angry in factThat Forsling contract makes me irrationally angry.
We gave him up for Clendening. Ughhhhhhh.
Lay a smooch on me.I have no idea what you're talking about. Definitely don't. >.>
