I have confidence Zito will bring in a winger to bump down Cousins. Aside from adding that, not much to be done. Playoffs are a crapshoot but this team is a wagon.

Oh same, he doesn’t fit at all. I’m just watching the Sharks Wild and forgot he played still. Duke wouldn’t work here anymore either.

Tippett was a scoring winger who couldn't find his scoring touch. Even though he's obviously found it and doing well in Philly, he didn't seem able to put it together here, and without that scoring touch... what does he really offer? Not much, IMO.

Lundell is a center who plays great defense, kills penalties well, and is 53% in the face-off circle. Even if he never realizes the scoring potential he showed as a rookie, he's a very valuable player to have, and especially the way this team plays under PoMo.

Yes, I agree. My point is, I wouldn’t have minded to have been more patient with Tippett. Not everybody figures it out immediately. Hindsight is 20/20 though for sure. This is also precisely why I am advocating for keeping Lundell. I think his offensive game will come. It’ll just take some more time for his game to balance out, but I think it will.
