Rodrigues was a $12m mistake. An Extremely unimpressive player. If he was getting $2m per year for 2 years and was on the 3rd line only, that would be acceptable.

I really thought he would benefit from the Barkov effect when we signed him. It’s unfortunate that it looks like I’ll be wrong about that

Listening to this stuff for years, people complained about the Staals last year when both combined for 2 million for the season.

Not every player we bring in will have some career best scoring surge. ERod is a glue guy, and is just fine in his role.

I would like to see Panthers win one Stanley Cup. Would you?

The difference can come from ERod scoring two or three goals, right when he has a chance from which Lundell or Lombo would bury it.

The difference between winning and losing is tiny, or at least can be tiny. If Cousins scores the open net against Hill, the series may go 6 or even 7 games, who knows.

IMO, the specific case of ERod, leaves me wanting just a bit more. That’s all that my opinion is about.

It’s not worth whatever the ask is specifically for the Panthers. Our cupboard is pretty bare and D isn’t a weakness that needs addressing with a big name trade.

I agree, wouldn’t do anything like this. Kulikov is getting better every game.

It doesn't seem worth it but at least Hanifin wouldn't be another Chiarot acquisition which was a total waste of assets. Have to trust Zito.

But he’s a UFA. We could lose him regardless. Cap is too thin. Ekblad isn’t going anywhere either in a trade

It seems like Hanifin wants to sign with Florida. It would probably mean then that Ekblad or Montour is out after the season, hoping that it would be Ekblad just because of his footspeed. Montour is so dynamic and would age much better IMO.

The Panthers were rumored for weeks to be the favorite for Kane, they were constantly throwing rumors about the Panthers and Kane, every f***ing three minutes it was Kane to Panthers, and then he signs with the Wings.

I'm like 99% sure it was Kane's agent trying to drive up the price.
