My dream is for the Panthers to somehow acquire Ehlers from WPG, but that won't happen for cap reasons / WPG is in the playoffs.

He is the perfect player to play with Barkov, Reinhart / Bennett and Tkachuck

I mentioned him a few days ago, I think he would be excellent. But the cost is probably prohibitive and Seattle is still in the mix.

I don't think he'd cost a 1st if we take him at full AAV or as close to full caphit.

Ya he'd be a pure rental as we can't afford his next deal but would be a nice add that can play 1st through 3rd line with speed, good transition and decent goal scoring/playmaking ability

They just freed up a HUGE amount of cap space. They could act as the middleman in some rental trades to retain cap and get some ammo back for it.

Don't know but looks like he has a 16 team NTC so I don't think that's a problem.

Rodrigues was a $12m mistake. An Extremely unimpressive player. If he was getting $2m per year for 2 years and was on the 3rd line only, that would be acceptable.
