Regardless if you have blind love for Dean or not or think the prices are to high, the realism is this team isn't winning a cup with this team as it is today,so either Dean upgrades the defense and bottom 6 or it will be a short playoffs.
Nothing nonsense about it,that's the difference between being blind and realism. The current construction of the team isn't getting past the Hawks or Capitals.![]()
This Ducks game makes me wish we would sell some guys...
Brown should be in the pressbox.
Lucic has been MIA and his toughness is a joke.
Lewis has no game.
Clifford has 0 hockey sense and takes away a roster space.
Also 1/2 of our defense are slow AHL-ers.
I've seen 4 or 5 different bloggers (no I'm not counting Eklund) slammed around here. The holier-than-thou attitudes of some couch jockeys.![]()
@mayorNHL
Relax Kings fans, enjoy the game tonight... Told that the team is most likely not making any deals tonight. Call out sick & buckle up tmrw.
It's almost like someone is feeding him false information to **** with him at this point.

Oh the irony...
What are the chances of Forbort getting traded tomorrow or at the draft?

all will be fine now he's flyers gm. tomorrow he will grant DL gudas + simmonds for king + futures.
I was talking to some other Kings fans at the game on Saturday and they brought up this point so...
I'm just going to put this out there but do you think Dean is going all in because this might be his last year as GM?
The team has major cap issues, Dean has made some questionable calls recently (trades/contracts), and other teams have come around asking for his guys (hextall/Futa) for other GM jobs.
Is it out of the realm of possibility?

Possible but I think he's going all-in because he knows the team's talent isn't going to be as good next season. Lucic is likely gone. Gaborik will be a year older. Brown will year older. There's nothing in the pipeline to call up. The salary cap isn't going to go up or maybe slightly.
