And Doughty, Muzzin and Martinez are better now than in 2014. Is it enough to offset the changes? That's to be determined in 2 months.
Ducks were dumb to move Maroon. Stewart is out with a broken jaw. The Ducks identity is similar to ours and now they are left a bit soft up front...who is the toughest forward now, Garbutt? Lol.
They'll still push the Kings around and I doubt we'll even see much of a response from the Kings.
Guess I'm still pissed about the team *****ing out yesterday.
The same team went from the 29th ranked offense to adding Gaborik/Pearson and went to 3 goals a game and the most goals and I believe goals per game in the playoffs.
Pearson is looking better lately, but still not all the way back, Gaborik is out and who knows how he'll look when he comes back... although he's experienced with coming back from injuries. Does this team have enough depth to push the Brown's/Lewis' down to the bot 6? If it doesn't the offense is going to be **** and they won't go anywhere.
This is as good as it gets. The question will be answered soon enough.
Wasn't it the fourth goal where he got worked over?
I don't think Shore is cut for playoff hockey. He got abused last night by the Ducks centers.
I wish he was more willing to initiate contact and use his body, you don't have to kill anybody Shore but stop being a pansy and put your body on the line.
I think Dowd may be better suited to play that role, whereas Shore may be better suited to play his passive game in the minors.
I honestly think they are just going through the motions until playoffs start. I truly believe sutter when he says he doesn't care about winning the division. Evidence of him rolling 4 lines no matter the score...
Im really introgued by Nic Dowd seems like a energy spark plug and has been progressing. Maybe he will
Be more cut out for the playoffs than Shore. Why not call him up for the 4th line

YES, or the years he acquired Modin.
The last I saw it was all about Chicago or Dallas. If Lombardi got in there, and Hamhuis was willing, great. Clearly Vancouver was being unreasonable.
That's an interesting assessment. Hossa is running around on one knee. Towes is lighting the world on fire with his 44 points, and their bottom pair is anchored by perennial norris candidate "one-knee Rozi."
Every team has issues.

Didn't Chicago win the Stanley Cup last year with 3 d-men and a couple extra bodies?
Are you guys ****ing kidding? That's the same group that has won the cup twice. Quick is the best goalie in the league come playoffs, and everyone usually wakes the **** up. Doughty can produce at Karlsson's level and play solid defense. If Pearson gets back to playing like he did a year ago, we'll be fine; it will be a tough matchup like it always is, but we definitely have a chance. The only thing I would say is missing is an extra top 4 D but look at Chicago's roster, they have 3 below average and worse defensemen.
I'd say 4D-Men and a couple of extra bodies but that offense and the Kings offense isn't exactly the same thing.
It's not the same group. The Kings chances depend on a lot of "ifs". The Defense is missing a TOP 4D, Mcnabb is looking like a liability and who knows what will become of Scuderi. You guys need to stop comparing it to the Chicago roster, who the hell on the Kings is going to put up 115 points this season? Which guy is scoring 30 goals? It's not all doom and gloom and yes the Kings have a shot at winning the cup but right now I'd say they are thinking positively the 3rd best team in the Western Conference right now behind Chicago and Anaheim. (people would argue that the Stars and Blues if they weren't so decimated are better and the Sharks are on the King's ass)
What's missing that we had before? A Dustin Brown that isn't a pile of bricks on the ice. Justin Williams, you can argue Lucic is a replacement but he'll have to do it first for him to be a replacement. Our 4th line Center was Mike Richards and as bad as he was towards the end he still was a big help in the 2014 run, who's our 4th line center now? Nick Freakn Shore, a mistake or a bad penalty waiting to happen, guy has become trash and Sutter doesn't even want him on the roster. He wanted to send him down if the Purcell/Schultz trade happened.
It may not all be doom and gloom but don't close your eyes and think this team is just going to wake up and press some button and fix itself, that sure as **** didn't work last year.
Yes. This is what I'd like to see rolling into the playoffs and it doesn't even include a healthy Gaborik (which looks like it might be a possibility).
