I'm fine with both trades we made... but neither Scuderi or Versteeg really addresses the holes we had. But yea, what was available wasnt particularly exciting either, and not at the prices.

If we get Gabby back... it will be a big help. He was just starting to come on lately.

I hope Mersch stays up. I prefer him over Andreoff/Clifford/Shore/Nolan at this point.

I think they trade Vatanen at the draft.

Yeah, their depth is pretty impressive. A lot better than the Kings options that's for sure.

4 unnecessary players on this team. Dean better not dick around in the summer and trade/waive these guys.

Sutter is like a Colin Fraser. The Kings already have Kris Newbury and Ryan Horvat, both similar.

Sabourin was the potential Kings 4th line Jordan Nolan type player.

If the Kings Lineup is something like this, the 4th line is potentially a disaster but rest is okay, as long as Shore/Andreoff/Nolan don't see the ice, they be okay.

Lucic - Kopitar - Gaborik
Pearson - Carter - Toffoli
King - Lecavalier - Brown
Clifford - Lewis - Versteeg

Send down Shore, when Nolan comes off the IR. Sit Mersch/Andreoff/Nolan, and only play Mersch, other 2 are a disaster.

See Gann's article on Sabourin from a few days ago. He's been a healthy scratch for a lot of games. He gets a fresh start and Sutter gets to be near family.

Well, to be fair, they were stone hands in 2012 and 2014 too. They just scored in the playoffs. These same guys...with a few other bottom six names mixed in and out. The big if will be if there is a lineup change that acts as the catalyst to get all of these guys rolling. In 2013 when it was a struggle, you can see the scoring was not as spread out.

The bottom 6, 4th line especially, just has to be able to not get man handled like they were last night. Sutter cannot trust them if they get hemmed in the Kings own zone for 45 seconds at a time and take 2 penalties. Kopitar and Doughty better get all the rest they can get. They're playing 23 and 33 minutes a night in the playoffs.

Outside of a 2 month period when he got signed Sabourin has been garbage and regressing almost constantly. Sutter should fit in nicely on an AHL team that should be looking at making another deep playoff run.

Injuries, hot/cold streaks, and exhaustion could make any teams look a lot different come playoff time.

we are in great shape as far as a regular season goes for the Kings and hopefully can hold off the Ducks and Sharks.

the big key is getting Gabby back. Pearsons looking 10x better than a month ago and maybe he can boost some life in the 70's line. I would love to see Versteegs skill put on a line with Vinnie.
