Vanek might be a good add but isn't he gonna go for a steep price?

If they are gonna do anything, pay the price for Duchene, Landy, or Tatar.

No more rentals.

Maybe? Can't know what he goes for until he goes for something.

If Colorado wants a young defenseman, then the Kings don't have anything to get Duchene or Landeskog.

They can have McBadd....some, like Sutter, actually think he is good. There was a rumor floating out there, that the AVs not only liked Ladue, but McBadd also.

I would like to see LA put a claim in on Cramarossa, I don't think he makes it that far in the waiver order though. I can see the Canucks and Avs putting in claims.

Regarding Vanek, there was a thought out there a week or two ago that he could be had for a 2nd, I believe it was Friedmann or LeBrun who mentioned that. Teams are scared of his playoff no shows, specifically when he was with the Habs.

I doubt another GM will take on Gaborik unless he can send a player back to the Kings with a bad contract. Maybe not as bad as Gaborik's, but still a bad contract.

Gaborik and a 1st for Vanek.

I wouldn't mind giving up a 1st rounder in a super weak draft if it means getting rid of a terrible contract.

This, I'd be floored if they can move him.

7 goals.

Think I'd rather LA keeps him instead of taking on someone else's cap dump.

Interesting..an hour ago, DB said not to expect a big deal from Kings...now, he's tweeting:

Kings aiming higher. Top 6 is target.

Top 6? Duchene, Landeskog? Whom else is top 6 name out there? Doan?

Because Vanek is going to make Kopitar play like a champ?

Why waste a #1 pick (and I don't care if the draft is weak or not, it's still a #1 pick)?

Is Vanek going to make the Kings anything more than 1st round playoff fodder?

It's about getting rid of Gaborik's contract. Is a #1 worth that?

That's because he's not connected at all and has no clue what he's writing about, just piggy backing off of information that is out there from far more reputable journalists.

If it's a foregone conclusion they're trading for a forward, please do not get Nash or Vanish, get a center who's going to be here long term and can take some heat off of Anze Perimitar. They aren't going to do **** with no #1 center.

Not to me it isn't. So you move Gaborik for a #1, now what? Is the team suddenly a cup contender again just because Gaborik isn't on the roster?

It would be foolish of Dean to make such a deal. Better to let this season play out and reassess at the draft.

I do advocate the Kings selling at the deadline, but it appears Dean is too stubborn for it to happen.

I would be open to moving Martinez for a young center not requiring protection in the expansion draft.

Dean is too stubborn or is he being forced to go for it?
