Speculation: Trade Deadline Options

That's one thing I've noticed about our D (even our forward corps.), there's not a lot of veteran leadership there. Greene would be considered a vet, but his days are probably done in the NHL. Its now up to Doughty, Muzzin, and Martinez to help foster the younger guys coming up, a responsibility none of them are used to. Thankfully Forbort, Gravel, and LaDue all look up to the task, they're playing pretty well considering how tough this league can be for rookie Dmen. Forbort has been especially impressive, which makes me worried we'll lose him (instead of McNabb) in the expansion draft.

I really think DL wants to go 7-3-1 for the expansion draft. I think he'll trade one of either Muzzin/Martinez (Martinez most likely) for a young winger at the deadline or before the expansion draft.

No. First of all, Quick hasn't been listed as a starter yet and secondly, what if he gets hurt? You still have 7 weeks of hockey left.
IF DL feels this team still has a shot, Quick and Budaj are a better combo then Quick and Campbell.

Waste of a 2nd round pick. Not because Eaves sucks, but because Eaves doesn't make this team good enough to win a round in the playoffs.

im not so sure he doesn't We need goals he having a career year. He plays a kings game 200 foot game. We also need to worry about getting into the playoffs He would do it imo

I think dowd is fine for that spot for now. Give him a bit more time to get used to the nhl pace. I think he will grown into it. Also i think Amidio from the reign ultimately will take over that spot in a few years.

He's no solution, though. Just another Kings' style forward who would struggle to score here for the price of our 2nd highest pick.

Good pickup by Anaheim though since they have flexibility at the forward position, and they had a 2nd rounder to burn IIRC.

Beware of Dallas forwards, its like some of the goalies we have peddled to other teams, look like a million bucks here, get in another system, they crash and burn.

Though with Ducks he probably will be okay.

Getting Quick back this early is definitely a move to try and reignite the spark of this team. Desperate times call for desperate measures, this has been a ****ing unlucky year for us, I hope it turns around...
