Started by Ryan Whitney I believe

Yeah I saw that…read also that Sens management is “tired of Brady’s immaturity.” Sounds like their locker room is a bit of a mess if any of this is to actually be believed. If there’s any truth to it I would give up a pretty penny to get a Tkachuk back in AZ. I’m sure the ask would be huge but I would at least consider it because he’s still so young himself.

Yet they gave him the "C".
Another example of why you don't make your best player the captain.

Fun fact
since the 2019-2020 season, Ottawa has used 16 different goaltenders and have gone through 3 goalie coach changes.

What? If that is your way of thinking, let's give our C to LOB. I haven't check but I'm willing to bet that most teams put the letters on their teams best players.

Yes, that is my way of thinking. I wouldn't give it to LOB, as he's not here for the long haul, but I wouldn't give it to Keller either. He's a talented player but he's a mouse, and not a captain. Management likely agrees or they would've given it to him already. We don't have a captain in our system yet.

Brady was too young to be the captain, you need a vet more so that other players respect. I know it mostly goes to your best player, but you have to be careful giving the C to young players.

I mean honestly that 2020-21 campaign by chychrun is looking more and more like an outlier. It’s the only year he’s looked like a legit top pairing defenseman. He’s still a good second pairing guy. And no, I absolutely do not want him back on the coyotes

This account has been correct on several big Sens scoops in the last year.

The greater question is this: is Jakob Chychrun ever going to be content anywhere?

I mean, this is two teams and two straight trade requests... context of suckage aside, this is not a trend that's going to be looked upon favorably by many GMs.

I’d offer our first in a package for tkachuck.
Trade Dumba and a 2nd to someone to move up into the 1st…could trade Schmaltz and a pick also in another deal that brings back a 1st…then trade a 1st + Crouse + whatever else necessary to get Tkachuk. Probably a pipe dream but that would be sweet.

I'd be more sanguine about trading for Brady Tkachuk if we had a captain - or, indeed, any team leadership who could keep him more or less on the right track. I have a feeling that BA isn't going to want someone who's labeled as "immature" - seems to contradict his whole stance on attitude that he talks about at every draft - without having that safety net.

BA approached Chych and gave him an opportunity to leave. He did, it's as simple as that. I don't think he wants to leave Ottawa.

He’s the Pierre Luc Dubois of defensemen.
Come on man. Chych plays his heart out.

Yeah I wouldn’t go so far as to say he’s like PLD. PLD doesn’t cry when his new team visits Winnipeg aside from the fact that he’s in Winnipeg
