I guess you missed Murray, JBo, Regehr and even guys like Redden/Hannan being moved in the last week.

There's absolutely no excuse for us to still have eight d-men, none. It cost us what we didn't get back in a trade AND it cost us vis-a-vis our own young d-men's play/development (Fayne/Larsson).

You missed the part where I said TODAY. Two of those guys you mentioned were today, correct? And now my next question... how many of the defensemen we had available (and be honest here) are as valuable as the ones you mentioned? And I mean this in an objective way. What makes you think that today we were going to get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Tallinder or Volchenkov? If all we were going to get was a 5th or a 6th rounder... is it really worth it? Or would you rather we trade Fayne so that we get a half-way decent pick out of it? The going rate WAS a 2nd/3rd round pick for these defensemen, but it clearly wasn't today. And there were still a LOT of defensemen teams were saying were available/were shopping, and how many of those guys got moved today? The market dried up on defensemen. Simple as that.

Not acquiring anyone doesn't surprise me one bit... Not moving a ****ing d-men for picks is a massive error IMO.

The Sharks pulled off exactly what we should've done. They moved Ryan Clowe for solid picks and acquired a player with the same type of grit in Raffi Torres for peanuts.

The fact that we moved 4 picks and we'll lose another next year cause of the Kovy saga should be enough of a reason for us to move someone on our blueline.

Really disappointed in the lack of activity on our part... Outside of the bums we got threw waivers and meh talent we got in D'Agostini and Poni. Thank god Loktionov actually turned into something solid or we'd be on the outside looking in with a slim chance to make the postseason.

Scott makes a good point & the extra D-men could help us move up in the draft? I'm trying to think with a level head here, but I feel I'm breaking a rule here haha

All the GMs on this board are out in full force today.

It's pretty entertaining watching a group of grown men cry and moan over the lack of movement/+minor trade on Lou's part.

When I see what it took to get someone lile PomPomville I'm glad Lou didn't make a splash. End of story.

2 of the 8 are UFA's...So then you're down to 6 the day the season is over.

level head? Is it working right?

2 are UFAs. So you have your 6. And then you want an immediate UFA to help you in the draft? Or move Sal or volch at the draft? That moves you down the order. If we buyout volch that's even 1 less.

Dude it's so easy to make trades. I do it all the time on NHL 13. It's not rocket science.
