Nope, no thank you. I've changed my mind about loading up given our issues, I don't like our chances enough to pay a price like that.

Looks like there are several level headed people here who don’t want to overpay for a player. The leafs are not real contenders.

They can have a great summer and make big changes with a huge amount of cap space

Reilly is a huge problem

Matthews is not a winner

Berube has done a good job but there is alot more work to be done.

I think Matthews can be a winner and so can Nylander. The team isn't built right though.

In saying that, it's the off season that concerns me, re-signing Tavares and Marner, then running it back yet another year will continue to yield the same results. I want this team to actually try to win a Cup, not whatever it is they are currently doing.

He’d be a decent 1C on the Marlies. He’s consistently been one of the 10 worst defensive forwards in the NHL since he broke in. I don’t think anyone trusts him to play C for that reason.

if treliving doesn't do anything major today, in his 1.5 years as leafs GM his biggest acquisition via trade have been two depth defensemen and one depth forward if I'm not forgetting, that pretty underwhelming..

I also keep hearing this is not year to spend but you can add to the team players with term. so even if you it costs you ally, at least you have players on your team couple of more seasons. Muzzin, Mcabe and even Ekholm are examples of that.

leafs have assets, its all about being creative and pushing for it.

I think we have some internal options that may help us a bit but so long as you have depth that is so unreliable and Rielly like he is, there is no fixing this team for this year.

Vegas exposed how they could play a playoff style game against us and make guys like Domi and Rielly fall apart. How many posts? Odd man rushes and breakaway's?

Tre needs to be realistic.

Serious to me at TDL is dumping Morgan and Domi for starters..they are liabilities

Agreed. Get Geekie, swap Jarnkrok for Tanev, and either buy-low Schenn (D) or swing higher in Carlo.
