I didn't think Donovan to Saginaw would actually come together or for that quantity wow. Source had mentioned they were interested in him this morning, but there was nothing concrete to say about it. I had no more info than that and didn't want to post a nothing rumour.
I always wanted them to target him. Didn’t know if they’d sell

Saginaw, SSM, Ottawa, and NB all pretty much low or out of picks. If Taylor was traded for McCoy, that means all of Saginaw, Ottawa, NB, and Sudbury do not have their ‘07s.

That leaves London and Guelph? Maybe Sudbury and Kingston with their draft picks…. I don’t think Missy is going to enter the fray. They are gold next year.

I’m not sure what big fish still remain but not a lot left to pick from.

We are just under a day away from the OA trade deadline and four notable players have yet to be traded. Zacharie Giroux, Oliver Peer, Connor Punnett, and Anson Thornton. I could see Guelph, Mississauga, the Soo, and Sudbury trying to upgrade their third OA spot. So give me your predictions on where the final four notable overagers end up

Owen Sound is the only team that has bought with an open OA slot. I could see Guelph, Mississauga, the Soo, and Sudbury trying to upgrade their third OA spot. So give me your predictions on where the final four notable overagers end up
Owen sound doesnt have an open spot

who use an upgrade on their O/A spot?

Mississauga can definitely use an upgrade on one.

Sudbury might upgrade their D O/A.

If Guelph buys, they can upgrade one or two.

Kitchener *might* upgrade one.

Not many spots left for those O/A

Crane was acquired by Niagara prior to the Budreau's being hired as advisors. These mistakes will not happen from this point going on.
Bruce was hired Sept 6 as an advisor - IceDogs Hire Bruce Boudreau As Senior Advisor - Niagara IceDogs

The Crane trade happened Nov 9, well after Bruce was hired - IceDogs Acquire Brody Crane From The Knights - Niagara IceDogs

I don't think Bruce has any control of what happens. He said in an interview that his job is to just be available whenever the owner asks him for advice.

He advised them to trade a couple 3rds and a 4th plus a warm body for him in November and then advised them to trad him for a 6th in January. They are getting strong advice!

Jsut kidding… I have no idea if Brucey had any input on either.

Wired: Saginaw buying this much sets up a great deadline next year with them being forced to recoup some assets by trading Michael Misa and Zayne Parekh

ZERO possible chance of Saginaw dealing Misa at next year’s deadline. They’re not going to give away the payday they’ll collect from him being a 1st round NHL pick.

Maybe at the 2026 deadline - - assuming he’s still in junior - - but definitely not at next year’s deadline.
