I barely want to say this because I'm not in the room having these discussions and it seemed unlikely from my own POV, but apparently a Poitras return to Guelph isn't out of the question. They just got Crane cheap and had some interest in Melee if he doesn't go to Sudbury. Maybe a conservative buy with Poitras there?

Chances Poitras gets returned the Storm is about as likely as Rutger McGroarty suiting up for the Hounds this year
Hard to get a true read where I sit in the orde of these conversations, and it could just be a weird bluff, but apparently Guelph has been talking as if they are getting Poitras back all of the sudden.
Yeah, that would be a really weird bluff.... "Look, we don't need Brody Crane, we're getting Matt Poitras back. Best I can do is a 6th."

Did Niagara not shop Crane around at all I don’t get the return lol. Can’t tell me there’s not another contender out there that wouldn’t have at least offered a 5th round pick or more. Mind boggling to me

Here I sit hoping that the Bruins are the Niagara of the NHL.
I don't understand how I am the only person that thinks it makes sense for Boston to keep him up the whole year including playoffs if you look at the big picture and they believe they are SC contenders which they currently appear to be.
Pros - Cap space and as Houndzfan20
says practicing in the nhl is better for his development.
What does this say for their drafting and or development if there is no better option on the farm.

Crane was acquired by Niagara prior to the Budreau's being hired as advisors. These mistakes will not happen from this point going on.

I didn’t think Brantford would stand pat. Figured they’d sell at least Donovan. Good for them. Very disciplined. Kingston should have followed suit.

I didn't think Donovan to Saginaw would actually come together or for that quantity wow. Source had mentioned they were interested in him this morning, but there was nothing concrete to say about it. I had no more info than that and didn't want to post a nothing rumour.
