I think everything is out that I was aware of between Hayes, Mayer, Dubois, and Ride. I didn't know about the Frasca trade, and would have to think something is close or maybe even done on Punnett.

Sudbury going for Buchinger+Karabela or McCoy+Melee still out there.

Anyone hearing other info?
Really just can't see Guelph selling so I assume its gotta be McCoy and Melee to the Wolves

That is a gross overpayment for Ride. I wanted Oshawa to make a deal for him but not that for that price!
No you are lucky they didn’t LOL

Niagara has an open oa since Humphrey left for ushl which player will get the dissapointment call LOL

It’s mind blowing to see how many people rip
the NB deal for Ride when the Kingston trade was in fact much worse.

Let’s think it through logically…

1. Dubois is finished after this year. Surely nobody will try to dispute that fact.

2. Ride has at least one more, and quite likely two more seasons remaining.

3. Big mobile 19yr old defencemen are always in demand at the deadline, so NB could recoup most, if not all, of these picks next year at this time.

4. The further into the future draft picks are, the lower their current value is. That should be common knowledge for anyone who’s taken the most basic community college economics course.

5. The 2025 2nd that Kingston gave up is by far the most valuable pick. And being Flint’s it’s probably going to be fairly high.

6. The 2024 9th NB gave up is the equivalent of a leaky Gatorade bottle.

7. Chuck Robertson is a mediocre back up goalie. That’s the equivalent of a roll of tape.

8. The 2026 3rd cancel each other out.

9. NB essentially gave up a 2026 3rd and 2027 3rd & 4th in comparison to the 2025 2nd that Kingston gave away.

10. With or without Dubois, Kingston isn’t going anywhere this season. Anyone who thinks they’re a contender to get to the Memorial Cup is living in a dream world.

11. DiVicentis can single-handedly win a playoff series so NB at least has a punchers chance. Kingston has nothing comparable to that.

North Bay did pick up some depth players and mostly likely will be harder to play against however DiVicentis has not had the same season as last year. He will need to be counted on much more for North Bay than last year as his D Core is still not as good even with the additions of Ride and LeBlanc. If anything Ottawa hands down has the most complete team right now. From behind the bench to goaltending. Sudbury's moves need to equate to Ottawa's depth.

It will take Sudbury one or two pieces defensively and one solid forward.

"Heard"? What's your source?
After all, at 7:03 pm your post speculates that it could be OA, Peer or Maillet to London, then 13 min later you announce that it is Lawrence.
Peer/Maillet was my own blind speculation that they'd just be after an OA without talking to anyone, but sources are two different OHL staff. Same ones who prompted other posts in my recent activity that have been right. If they/I jumped the gun on Lawrence and another team beat the low offer, I'll wear it, but hopefully I can get some more good info tomorrow. Have had no clue about a couple of these deals (Frasca or Kressler), but I have posted correct info on other ones that are now official ahead of time and nothing wrong yet in a definitive sense.

It’s nothing personal I just call it as I see it, my friend. And I’ve seen enough of Kingston this year to recognize that they’re first round cannon fodder.

Let’s see how everything shakes out first on Wednesday evening. Kingston has had a relatively difficult schedule the last month or so. They’ve done fairly well.

They cannot stop at Dubois if they plan on contending or doing anything serious. They could simply be trying to wing he division and get to the 2nd round. Maybe try to get some confidence for next year.

HOWEVER, I think not trading Ludwinski is a huge mistake. They are going to need the assets next year if they truly want to compete with Missy. That is, if they feel they can. Maybe they feel this year is a better option than next year?

Either way, we shall see what they do the rest of the way.
