Sam Mayer, Jax Dubois, Donovan McCoy all in the lineup
Hounds likely won’t have scratches. There’s talk that Clattenburg may be hurt.

No Julien in London's lineup.
OA Tuesday at 12 noonI know this is probably in one of these 13 pages but is the deadline on Tuesday with the OA deadline on Monday? I think it is usually the 9th and 10th….
Cool. I had my dates mixed up…. Tuesday and Wednesday are the 9th and 10th…OA Tuesday at 12 noon
Everyone else is Wednesday at 12 noon
Deadlines are always on or before those dates.Cool. I had my dates mixed up…. Tuesday and Wednesday are the 9th and 10th…
Either him or Gavin White - I'd give the slight edge to White but that's just because I've seen more of him.Is he the best 3rd round U-18 pick ever?
Tough call. Jury still out on Julien. He still has the remainder of this year plus an OA year to show his true potential. Gavin White is definitely the clubhouse leader though…Either him or Gavin White - I'd give the slight edge to White but that's just because I've seen more of him.

Got it.Yeah but we were referring to 3rd U-18 picks. Mayer went much earlier. But I understand where you are coming from!
Yes it was a good move. How they finished the season doesn't determine if it was a good idea or not. Sarnia finally had a chance to make a good title run. They gave it their best effort. Nothing is guaranteed but that doesn't mean you don't try.
Maybe Letang isn't the one to get them over the hump. Maybe it'll be the next guy.
He may be dressed but Virgilio isn’t getting any ice. Two small shifts so far. Unless I’ve missed it.
His ice time was significantly reduced in my opinion. He did start getting shifts more regularly after I posted but didn’t seem often.
I did. Virgilio played sparingly until the d got a bit tired in the 3rd. Brown barely hit the ice. I'd guess Vader had just as much icetimeHis ice time was significantly reduced in my opinion. He did start getting shifts more regularly after I posted but didn’t seem often.
Did you watch? @HockeyPops
No, as a fan of the team acquiring Martone, and what a refresh for the franchise those deals with Sarnia were, I wouldn't want too see a top prospect like Martone dealt for a few months worth of their returns, plus Martone is a late birthday. If the roles were reversed I'd hate to see the same deal made, IMHO
1. Sarnia was not a fringe contender. The sting were without question dominant post deadline and a top contender.Agree 100% - - that was a God-awful trade for Sarnia and an absolute steal for Mississauga.
1. Sarnia was just a fringe contender last year. They certainly were not a Memorial Cup threat with or without Del Mastro.
2. Del Mastro had already signed a pro contract so you knew there was little to no chance of him returning as an OA.
3. Martone was playing almost as well as Del Mastro as a 16yr old.
4. Based on his birthday, you’re getting at least two and a half seasons from Martone, possibly three and a half.
5. Martone has a very good chance to be a 1st round pick which means money for the franchise.
Their account is used to incite and anger. Just put them on ignore.1. Sarnia was not a fringe contender. The sting were without question dominant post deadline and a top contender.

That Sting team was pretty much over the top.I think the point being that that type of deal is typically reserved to put a team over the top, not keep them in the pack. Even though Sarnia was a true contender, I agree, they weren’t the hands down favourite in that Conference.
I would reserve deals like that to teams like Hamilton post-Covid who were the clear front-runner before acquiring MacT. I could see a team like that make that type of deal just to put the stamp on it to say they did everything they could.
With Sarnia last year, I think it was reckless. The Petes made a similar deal but it was for a two season player. That was far more responsible and savvy. It was much more justifiable to use a player that lofty.
Although, I agree that it makes it look much worse with how well Martone has performed this year vs JVV. But, regardless, the Petes deal was far less reckless than the Sarnia deal, regardless of the outcome. Sarnia needed to win the OHL Championship for that deal to be considered a good one. Anything less was unacceptable and warrants an owner to question the GM closely.

DelMastro & DelBelBelluz is the best two player package from a team that I can recall.
