It's rarely fake news. It's based on ongoing conversations. London was definitely in on Shane Wright last year, which is what was reported. London was not willing to part with the player needed to get the deal done and Kingston pivoted.

Same with this year. Marek is not reporting that the deal is done. Just that the Soo may be a frontrunner. Conversations are being had. May not be the ultimate destination. Time will tell.

Anybody who thinks the Soo isn't one of the frontrunners for Beck is lying to themselves and likely jaded because they want their team to get him. Doesn't guarantee he ends up a hound, it just means we're a probable candidate based on the standings, available assets, and team chemistry. And I would assume Marek has some intel that us peons aren't privy to.

He's been playing 3rd and 4th line minutes on an older team. His stat lines look fine. Hayes got majority of his points in the first 2 weeks.

Martin will be one of, if not the best 07 in the league next year and beyond.

I'd hate to trade him and I'm sure 99% of soo fans agree.

I never believe in the term untouchable. There have been many untouchable players moved in the past. When teams get desperate they can do something that might surprise you. Sarnia last year moved a kid that everyone thought would never move .

Also considering he might end up closer to home would likely mean his NTC is not an issue.

Now I see the odds low as well but they are not a full on zero.
