If you are dealing Knies for 4th OA then deal Matthews and Nylander as well.
Id happily rebuild, but the Woll deal + Raddysh signing of course means we arent doing that this year.
Taking 4th OA and subtracting from our roster for a year or two before one of the big 3 D make the team is a super risky and hard to stomach move
Florida will not get him. They have zero assets. If Florida gets Helly on a soft deal, Im gonna be livid
What exactly does Florida have left to trade of value? I’d be shocked if they pulled off a trade of that magnitude.**** off, Florida.
Depends on what comes with the 4 OA and what that cap hit is, plus who else we sign this year. Assuming we’d even keep the 4 OA.Trading Knies for 4th+ is a play to try and get McDavid. It's the cap and gives us a 1-2 punch cost controlled at that.
Could work, not going to knock it but I would want to know more about how Matthews feels.
Would love thatRielly for Laferriere makes sense to me.
He's bloody inconsistent, our guys may get hurt but not getting hurt but not being very good isn't much of an improvementToronto makes sense in that he could follow in Curtis Joseph’s career pathway.

This is some wildly creative stuff.
Probably the first thing you and me can agree on haha.At the end of all of this, my guess is that Knies will still be in Toronto.
Somehow he’s built a career on just that.dregs says absolutely nothing here.
The Leafs asked for 4th overall + a top player from Chicago (Frondell or Nazar). Considering this is our asking price, Knies will remain a Leaf lol
