We must get a D-soulja too..... Hakanpaa or Gudrabson would punish people like in that punisher series from netflix.

After that the only need would be ritchie or some even cheaper sucka for a wing killer, rinaldo, brassard. Another interesting PP gem could be johansson, marcus. The man can pass that thang, hard. He might play good with tavares or matthews. He tends to pass that thang like a real goofy from those disney cartoons.

Curtis Gabriel (the boyfriend of Mikayla Demaiter) was actually mentioned by HOCKEY NEWS in instalation of the best gets from this ufa dirt: Other prominent 2021 UFAs to watch: Dominik Kahun, Alexander Wennberg, Ryan Getzlaf, Braden Holtby, Derek Forbort, Joel Armia, Jujhar Khaira, Damir Zhafyarov, Dmitrij Jaskin, Jani Hakanpaa, Alexander Edler, Frederik Andersen, Jaroslav Halak, Erik Haula, Zdeno Chara, Nikita Gusev, Tyler Bozak, Bobby Ryan, Travis Hamonic, Joe Thornton, Erik Gustafsson, Sami Vatanen, James Reimer, Eric Staal, Devan Dubnyk, Jason Demers, Alex Galchenyuk, Ian Cole, Marcus Johansson, Jordan Martinook, Travis Zajac, Alex Chiasson, Luke Glendening, Linus Ullmark, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Jordan Oesterle, Antti Raanta,, Mathieu Perreault, Jimmy Vesey, Ryan Dzingel, Brandon Sutter, Derek Stepan, Josh Leivo, Derek Ryan , Corey Perry, Artem Anisimov, Michael Frolik, David Rittich, Laurent Brossoit, Zach Bogosian, Dmitry Kulikov, Jon Merrill, Riley Nash, Travis Boyd, Tucker Poolman, Jordie Benn, Derick Brassard, Kurtis Gabriel, Marcus Sorensen, Tomas Nosek, Brock McGinn, Cedric Paquette, Vinnie Hinostroza, Michael Del Zotto, Andrew Cogliano, Erik Gudbranson, Sean Kuraly, Cody Ceci, Darren Helm, Mikko Lehtonen, Evan Rodrigues, Frederick Gaudreau, Jake Virtanen, Ryan Donato, James Neal, Martin Jones

Sounds like he's begging a ufa to choose us....but I like the approach.

If Saad isn't being offered what he wants...one year on our top lines might help him get more money next year.
Feels like a pitch someone like Hall should have/would have jumped at last year.

What taxes? Like the $10 million Bobrovsky took from the Florida Panthers? Greed is greed.
What does greed have to do with this?

The guy I was responding to was complaining about Marner's contract in comparison to Points and why it was so less. Points contract is less due to taxes.

So I guess I ask again, what does greed have to do with my comment?

Wonder if we can get the Sharks to do

Lilijgren + 2022 1st + Kerfoot for Timo Meier@5M

We get Meier for 5M for 2 years. Basically if the team delivers and performs we have cap issues down the line in 2 years and need to make a decision

If we bounce in the first round again things get easier and we deal marner or Nylander and have space to keep Meier long term

He's a big bodied winger with good production history and mostly productive at EVS.

I think they might ask for Amirov instead of Lilijgren which I'd still consider doing

I had an extremely strong inclination. Luckily I had more than enough cap space.
Unfortunately, Hamilton didn't want to sign with you, so now your team just sucks, just as it likely has since whatever mysterious move you made to clear so much cap space.

I don't know why the Leafs are even entertaining the idea of trading Mikheyev. A 6'5" skating machine. He's only 1.6M and we need more speed/quality on the wings. Dude couldn't score but... We've seen what happens to guys like Grabner, Duclair, etc They just explode offensively.

I understand Kerfoot due to his salary and questionable offensive upside, and Dermott since we have some younger/cheaper alternatives.
Yea hoping Mikheyev has a bounce back year. I like the addition off gabriel even though he might not be incredibly skilled. Wouldn't mind Ritchie too... maybe Engvall and Mikheyev would grow a couple inches wirh these guys on the team.

Seems like an overpayment for Meier but admittedly I don’t know how he’s progressed

Man Colorado was put into a corner on that Kuemper trade .. That's a big price.

Coyotes have had a good offseason to rebuild.

They were. But Kuemper saves them some money that probably allows them to circle back to Saad. He’s also an improvement in net over Grubauer. Either way they’re going to be a force next season

I'd be really interested to know the prices on some other goalies that may not be as highly regarded as last year. Gorgiev, Bishop type guys.

Hell, I wonder if Colorado could have made a call on MAF (even now) to sell him on a shot at the cup

Oh, I doubt the Leafs are entertaining moving him. He's our key defensive forward, as evidenced by his 65% defensive zone deployment. His salary is a bargain. I think folks on this board are just upset that he was a no-show against the Habs, but I'm with you - I absolutely see a Grabner-like breakout year from him next season.

He's produced not as good as you'd like with 49 in 70 and 31 in 54 the past two years but he's seen his TOI decrease and the Sharks have become trash the past two years

Reinhart got a 1st + Levi he had 1 year of cost control and was a RFA

We'd be getting Meier at 5M due to 1M retention and he'd be signed to that for 2 years + have another year of cost control left as he's a rfa when his current deal expires

Amirov might be too much but I'd do lilijgren with it looming as the organization doesn't value him that highly

3.5M would go out and 5M would come in for a net 1.5M cap space giving us 2M to add another winger or have space to accrue into the season

3rd line Center would become Kampf which sucks unless we can find a 3C for 2M or under
