Sounds like Winnipeg is also looking to clean house. Just out of curiosity, what does Hellebuyck return?
whatever the people who love Gibson want to offer for him, I'd do that for Hellebuyck

Murphy would be a good target.Time to start looking at some pieces that the Leafs could trade for now.
I'd be looking at one of McCabe/Murphy and then one of Katchouk/Raddysh.
If the Leafs have guys that are 3 years out in their prospects, plus some bodies that can get Chicago through the next couple years, it's time to make those trades.
Nonsense.Whatever Dubas does or doesn't do, his job depends on it. Better be swinging for the fences.
Patrick Kane is not known to be an exemplary human being either.Yeah, a captain that allowed the nonsense on the ice and in the room that happened to a player who was sexually assualted can absolutely **ck off
The Kapanen/AJ trade summerHave we known Dubas to do anything like this before? What he should do and what he will do are different.
Forsberg and Gustavson?they have two goalies besides Murray already

Where's this coming from?
Don’t want him eitherPatrick Kane is not known to be an exemplary human being either.
Wheelers on the block, some other pieces reported in play as well

THey are increasing the value of the Franchise for the sale.Sens are going all in eh.
Must be trying to look good before the family sells the team
I mean Ottawa and Detroit are going to try and get better regardless of the other teams in the division. I also don't see how Buffalo is any more behind than they are.
I wouldn't be so sure about Ottawa. They have a legit top 6, with Sanderson getting full time nhl next year, their defense should improve as well. Get them a legit goalie and I wouldn't bet against them fighting for a wild card spot. They'll all still likely be in the bottom 10 regardless
They are, but with the status of the teams in the conference they may as well move now.I mean Ottawa and Detroit are going to try and get better regardless of the other teams in the division. I also don't see how Buffalo is any more behind than they are.
Last thing the Atlantic need is another good team and Sens are trending in the right directionNice deal for Ottawa. This wipes out the Murray idea for us

Debrincat-Stutzle-Batherson
Tkachuk-Norris-Brown
Not bad
I wonder if the Sens are trying to push for the playoffs so may want to keep Brown.Brown could be had for the right deal and I hope the Leafs can make it work.
But it could get easier with Boston, Florida heading in the other direction this year and Toronto next year. They might. But the division is hard and we still have free agency to see how things settle out.
I've heard tales every season about how teams like the Sens/Sabres/ect will be on the upswing. All just speculation until they prove that can sustain winning games
You understand that the Leafs are gonna be good for a pretty decent amount of time, over the next few years, right? But it could get easier with Boston, Florida heading in the other direction this year and Toronto next year.
In 2023/24 they could set their sites on a WC spot
