So we have something like 12-15 good years left?

Matthews isn't going anywhere.
I hope you’re right, but I still think he’s headed to a US market. Vegas was a perfect location, but they’re worse than Toronto, right now.

How was Vegas perfect? They haven’t had cap space since their first year.

Sens, Detroit, and Montreal are all coming up, whether we like it or not. This is the best division in hockey.

You understand that the Leafs are gonna be good for a pretty decent amount of time, over the next few years, right?

When the cap goes up, much of our issues are alleviated

Too bad all our star players will be up for a contract negotiation as soon as that happens

Wonder if they keep Talbot for load management reasons or if hes available

Honestly, don’t even know why the Wild are even trying for the next couple of years. That Suter Parise jail stops them doing anything seriously. May as well take a knee and stock up on futures.

How would they have “easily” fit him? They gutted so much young, cheap talent to make him fit and didn’t make the playoffs.
If they didn’t trade for that donkey they’d have his 10 million plus Pacioretty‘s cap hit, they could easily fit AM.

Campbell is going to Edmonton, Husso to New Jersey, or vice versa. We're not giving Kuemper 6x6 and doubt he wants to come here anyway. Lou said Varlamov isn't moving. Georgiev, DeSmith gone. Hellebucyk is a total pipe dream.

What are all these options?

But it could get easier with Boston, Florida heading in the other direction this year and Toronto next year.
In 2023/24 they could set their sites on a WC spot
Except for your analysis being wrong
