But it could get easier with Boston, Florida heading in the other direction this year and Toronto next year.
In 2023/24 they could set their sites on a WC spot

Florida just won the President's trophy. Even with regression (and I expect they will to some degree), they're not going to fall off completely. And Boston has certainly earned the right to be expected to finish ahead-and the Sens certainly haven't earned the right expect anything to challenge that assumption. Toronto still has their entire core locked up into that 2023-2024 season too, not sure I'd expect regression there either

Sure anything can happen, but it's ultimately still just speculation

Roll the dice on Blackwood or pray to god Jack is willing to come back at a reasonable rate.

If we end up with Murray I might just puke.

I don’t really understand this deal for Fleury. He’s not winning anything in Minnesota. I’ll be shocked if they don’t take a step back this year with all that dead cap space. All good though, I love Fleury and was not against signing him, but he wasn’t high on my list at this point in time.

A pity about Flurey. Husso and Kuemper potential targets now, or one of the younger guys via trade

Looking like that could be it, especially if Mrazek stays.

Makes sense given they can grow with our core and still split with Woll next year (potentially) once we move Mrazek with one year left.

Although Husso still makes a ton of sense. Murray could still possibly work if we move Mrazek. Varlamov as well.

Not too worried at this point. Fleury should not have been the top option anyways.

Hey, at least Dubas bets on Mrazek having a bounce back year. That screams confidence, right? Lol this team is gonna be shit next season in the pipes.

Sens, Detroit, and Montreal are all coming up, whether we like it or not. This is the best division in hockey.

You understand that the Leafs are gonna be good for a pretty decent amount of time, over the next few years, right?

When the cap goes up, much of our issues are alleviated
When Matthews goes, they’re done

Ill wait to see if dubas does anything with our goalies besides a band aid soloution.

So far he has done nothing

If this keeps up i welcome his getting fired

They hired Paul Maurice, they’re trying to sell the team, they've peaked.

Fleury to stay in Minny to platoon on a cap hell team. Not the best vote of confidence for our program. Down to Husso and maybe Kuemper if there’s some cap magic that can happen. Otherwise we may be looking at a world of hurt. Do they circle back on Campbell?

With Fleury gone... I'd be swinging for the fences for a goalie in a trade. They need one bad.

Dubas can't come back at the end of the summer and say ... I tried but I couldn't do anything.

Keep in mind. We are in July. No need to panic yet Henny Penny and. Co. Plenty of time to fix the goalie situation. This is the start of July, not October 1st.

it's also musical chairs for goalies at the moment, if we wouldn't have signed him and Guerin found another option, that would have put MAF into pretty hard position. We can't negotiate with him until free agency, so it would be gamble from their side to wait for that and maybe lose Minny option completely. Penguins already went away earlier.
