One of my targets, Paul off the market

ZAR would be my next choice for a shut down line.

Nichushkin / Palat still technically options for LW in top 6 but we will see if the teams keep them.

Injuries are a major part of the age-related decline. As guys age, they get injured more frequently. Look at our very own Jake Muzzin - he was an iron man in his 20s, but as soon as he turned 30 injuries started piling up. That aggregated wear and tear is really what causes such rapid decline in players over 30.

Concusion injuries is not about age

About age will be multiple injuries in the same area who will request multiple surgery.. price, weber

Or back issues like whats happening
with player like Lemieux, bossy, horton

ZAR would be a great add and should be cheap. If we move on from Kase, ZAR/Anderson in the bottom two RW spots would be fine.

I expect ZAR to be a Leafs target. If they can get him to around 1.75M for a few years, I think that'd be pretty good. He's coming off a 1.725M contract, so I don't think he'll take a paycut.

I see him as a Mikheyev replacement more so than Kase.

Really good move by Tampa there. Keeps the AAV nice and low and can move him at any point. I'm jealous.

Over 3M is not nice and low. He was gonna get that without term.

This is after 1 solid season between the Sens and the Lightning. Career high was 20 points. He's 27.

I mean good for Paul but the Lightning aren't immune to bad contracts and this is probably going to be a bad one they regret in a couple years I suspect.

People will never criticize because Tampa but you don't give role players like that 7 years. The AAV isn't even that low if its over 3.
Easily moved. We love to defend our contracts until we're blue in the face, but criticise everyone elses. Tampa are such a well ran organization.

Of course it is. Easily moved whenever they see fit. 3 mil is chump change, especially when you're paying your stars a fair amount.

Do we defend our contracts????????? I am pretty sure that's what we complain about the most.

I think it’s fine. Paul is someone who can play between their second and third line and is now locked up at 3 million. His point production will most likely improve on a team like Tampa as well so I wouldn’t really take his Ottawa stats to heart. We saw the impact he can have playing for Tampa.

Complain and defend everything makes up the majority of the posts here and it’s usually the same people on either side of the fence.

I’m guessing Paul’s playoff performance earned him a few extra dollars. His Game 7 vs the Leafs bought them how many additional home dates?

Thank you for proving my point. Tampa could sign David Ayers and we'd be hearing about how they're such a well run organization.
They are though. The results show that. Not sure how it can be argued otherwise.

It's obvious they prefer a relatively stable bottom/ middle six. We prefer to chop and change every season with multiple guys coming in every summer.
