Its fine, just needed to be higher. We have too much faith in Murray given his track record and the rumoured deal. A 2nd should have been the expectation or a lottery protectsd first

Still can’t quite get my head all the permutations of the Ottawa, Toronto and Chicago trades. But when considering the swing in value between Ottawa and Buffalo’s pick swap for Murray and the eventual DeBrincat trade, like you said the return with Murray should have been closer to a second or a first. Not even sure what the 7th was acquired for. It was piece of kale to make the plate look fuller.

Pretty clear team wants him and player likes the organization. They will try to get it done.
When healthy, he's a good player who can play top 6 but more suited in the top 9.

True enough. But with all many unqualified UFA’s, us Kase coming back even a good idea?

the language in that release is a big weird.

I just did CTRL-F and figured it was this portion or something along these lines, if it's not that, I assume you found it elsewhere and trust you on it.

I'm very curious on how the goalies signings will be... Also it seems more and more that the Oilers basically pick up the players we move on from.... If Campbell moves on to them...

Ceci, Barrie and etc

Kase didn't look that impactful after he came back from his concussion this season. Worries me that he might be done now.

Not that interested personally when there are other options out there that have better health records.
Get Sam steel... For the name...

Brett Howden wasn't QO'd by Vegas .. could be another #4C option.

Do you prefer him or Tierney? Howden wasn't great until this season.

Dylan Strome I didn't mind just as an option to get us offense from the bottom 6 if you shelter him because of how little we got in the playoffs.

I'd go with Howden .. he's a few years younger so there's more growth potential there. Not necessarily up into the top 9, but more experience and age could make him a stronger #4C .. plus he's a bit more physical.

So bottom C options

Dylan Strome
Sam Gagner
Brett Howden
Chris Tierney
Nico Sturm
Victor Rask
Darren Helm
Sam Steel
Derek Stepan

Are we looking for another line to simply prevent chances or create them?

I think Tierney could bounce back to be a solid #3C option after a change of scenery.

Sure, but his last contract was $3.5 mil per. The last two seasons he's been a sub $1.5 mil guy. I wonder if he'd be willing to take a $1.2 contract to prove himself again.
