Would you rather have Campbell or Moore on this team this year and going forward? Then factor in the 2 picks on top of Moore.

Likewise would you rather have Durzi/Grundstrom/Bjornfot (or any of the fun names taken after him in 2019) or would you rather have Muzzin considering the success this team has had. I thought Muzzin was excellent this series and in every series he's played for the Leafs but what's the point if there's no success.

If Dubas/Keefe couldn't identify that Marchment/Barabanov were as good as they have been what gives you confidence they will retain the next iteration of these players?
You are completely missing the point. I rather have Campbell than a good middle 6 player in Moore. There is nothing wrong with the trade.

Like just said, Marchment and Barabanov exploded development wise that wasn't seen coming and Florida and San Jose are likely surprised as well. I trust Dubas to find those guys again, and I don't blame him for not seeing something shockingly come.

Unfortunately for every diamond in the rough Dubas has unearthed he has given up two.

In: Bunting, Kampf

Out: Marchment, Moore, Barabanov, Durzi

Imagine this lineup:

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Marchment-Tavares-Nylander
Moore-Kadri-Mikheyev
Engvall-Kampf-Grundstrom

Rielly-Brodie
Gio-Liljegren
Sandin-Durzi

Andersen (or you use the 1st rounder from the Foligno deal on Kuemper)
Kallgren

Campbell. I like Moore but he's a mid-line winger. We have a lot of those.

I'd rather have Muzzin all these years providing us with physical and hard playing defensive minutes. Moving forward? Durzi would have been nice to have for sure.

The Leafs identified them in free agency and drafts that they were good players. They will keep identifying good players. In the NHL when you want to make trades, sometimes you have to give up good players to get good players. Sometimes you give the players an opportunity somewhere else if they ask for it.
Admittedly I've only watched Moore during the playoffs but he'd be the 5th best forward on the Leafs. He is similar to Hagel but better defensively.

Campbell just posted a sub .900 save percentage over 7 games which was the worst in the playoffs among goalies to play the bulk of their teams games.

You guys are insane for wanting to run back the same core year and after year after failure. The raptors traded Derozan and won because it was needed to take them to next level. JT can't be moved, Matthews and Marner are another level higher than Nylander so Nylander should be the one traded also he's soft as shit..

Need to bring in some high intensity/ gritty players to replace Nylander, Mikheyev and Kerfoot. Sick of seeing our guys getting pushed around and just taking it. Nylander's value has never been higher. Would be a good opportunity to get a defenceman for him. I hear NYI are looking for scoring. Maybe something around Nylander for Pelech

Unfortunately Lou would never trade for a player like nylander

What's the Kawahi equivalent to a Nylander trade? If it's there, I'd say take it, but I can't see the similar option

The last playoffs he played was a couple years ago and he was completely dominant. He's also a much better player than he used to be, he's progressed a lot over the last few years
He's a great player, not sure he's Kawahi though. He was a huge player in that Tampa presidents trophy sweep

I really wouldn't expect much in the way of change, it's too far gone. I've come to accept that our front office is probably going to own-rental Matthews after we lose an eighth straight series.

Trade Nylander for Tom Wilson if Washington would do it. If not, try for Horvat or Miller in Vancouver.

Trade whatever amount of futures are required to get Chychrun out of Arizona as long as they take back Mrazek.

Offer to take Blackwood off of New Jersey's hands, they seem done with him.

The names that pop up in trade rumours as being "available" during the trade deadline (and after)often come up again in the summer and get traded or signed elsewhere. Please add if I'm missing someone. (i've included some FAs)

What this team really needs is a real 3C. In a perfect world it's Jordan Staal. But even someone like Dvorak would've been a nice addition. Jenner was who I really wanted but that ship has sailed. Danault was another perfect fit who was available.

Now I'd see what Chicago wants for Toews at 50% retained if he'd even want to come to Toronto. He may not be what he once was, but even still if he's playing 3C behind Tavares and Matthews that would create all kinds of matchup nightmares for opposing teams, and he's still solid enough defensively. Plus he could teach these losers how to win.

If Minnesota blows it up because of their cap situation, Hartman is a guy you give up multiple 1sts for. Same contract as Hagel but a much better player.

I'm not really sure guys like Moore or Barabanov would have had the path to regular NHL duty on the Leafs. There's a whole league full of productive ex-Leaf farmhands who would have been too low on the depth chart and not had the chance to flourish.

Also Moore plays on a team with a completely different personality.

You're creating a lot of holes unnecessarily. And if you do trade Nylander, you'd probably receive at least a player that you can insert in the lineup. Or are we just trading for picks?

I'm not sure what Kampf has to do to get respect. The guy is a pretty solid and respectable 3rd line center. What are people expecting here?

I think you keep the powder dry on moving multiple firsts. We need to hit on one of those guys one of these days to get new core players to keep the window open.

He had the same sv% as Vasi lol

I'm not advocating this, but just thinking out loud. Would you trade Nylander to New Jersey for the 2nd overall, would it be possible, and can you reinvest $7 million in free agency?

I think Nylander would be the guy we can get a valuable player coming back in return.

Kerfoot for a Crouse Type is ideal as well

The rest traded for picks
