I would like to seen nylander trade

Je make Matthews worst, make Jt worst (scored his 2 liwest number of goal since his rookie season), cant drive a line by hiemself. I dont think he making leafs a better team at 7M

Couple of target leafs can have

Patrick Kane
Jt miller
Bo horvat
David Pastrnak
Dylan larkin
Timo meier

Player on his last year of contract

Evander kane
Ondrej Palat
David Perron
Andrew Copp

Player sign can sign
Dylan larkin isn't getting traded. Timo isn't getting traded. Chance of David p is slim, and if he's traded, it won't be to Toronto

Your focusing on 1 specific stat to make him look like a capable playoff goalie.
I'm looking at the most accurate stat for evaluating a goaltender's performance, to evaluate a goaltender's performance. I also addressed your save percentage stat, and pointed out that he has a higher SV% in the playoffs than he does in the regular season. Evaluating Mrazek based on these small samples is pretty silly in the first place.

You're letting your perception be too impacted by the Mrazek performance you saw this year, which wasn't good. I'd like to look in a different direction for next year as well, but throughout his career, he's been a capable tandem goalie with a similar style to the one you were describing.
Going with a Mrazek + Comrie/Blackwood( some names mentioned here for guys who could tandem with Mrazek if we keep him) tandem next year isn't very confidence aspiring.
I haven't really seen anybody want to go with that next year.

Both started their last season before hitting free agency, maybe not this off-season but can certainly happen at trade deadline for thode player...

I’m moving mrazek and prob muzzin
Getting Blackwood as it seems he’s getting trade according to friedman
And kicking tires on forsberg….if dubas gets this then a nylander trade can happen!! Like a chychrun +crouse for nylander +1/2nd type thing

And domi can also come if cheap

Seems like a lot for Nylander.
Foudy was drafted 4 years ago and hasn’t really found his niche. He could become a great bottom 6 for us potentially . Has speed to burn.
Jenner is a character power we desperately need.
The 1st would be nice but this isn’t a strong draft.

Toronto could add an asset I suppose...

Agree to disagree on mrazek. Hopefully your correct and he's a solid goalie next year if he's kept

People have mentioned Blackwood and comrie as targets. They're lower on the pole but people want them

Mrazek being kept was being discussed when the report came that it would cost a 1st to dump him (think that wasn't true though)

Would you deal Nylander for Saros straight?

We turn a 1W playing 2W on our team to a top 5 G.

Move Mrazek still and and we'd have 4.5M to get JT a winger who plays astyle he works with.

Preds get a FF replacement while having askarov come up soon and can sign a cheaper stopgap tandem goalie

I'd be thrilled if he could win a round or two!
If fleury is up to his game he can steak a round himself. Has done it before.

Leafs if they win 1 round hopefully get the confidence to go all the way.

If MAF could come in an lead the way to a 1st round win then ot could boost the team and help us go all the way

Who would you suggest he'd be good in a tandem with? Holtby interests me a bit.

I think I'd go with a higher risk/reward guy that could be a longer term option. Fleury being kind of a mentor and safety net.

Ville Husso or Eric Comrie as UFAs if the prices are reasonable.
Trade for Anthony Stolarz, Mackenzie Blackwood, Ilya Samsonov.

If we were looking to make a big core shakeup this team can be constructed and be cap compliant

Main trade is Nylander for Saros

Then mrazek + 1st + Sandin for Jaden Scwartz + Leafs 2nd

Kerfoot to sens for a 2nd and a 3rd

Sign Kessel at 2.2M, Tierney at 1.7M, Comrie at 2M

Nylander for Saros when Gibson is available for non-core players should finally get 100% of toronto calling for dubas' head.

Gibson has been coming off of 3 consecutive terrible years

Saros has had multiple great years now

He's also less of a contract at 5M for 2 years vs 6.4M for 5. We aren't burdened with taking a cap dump should Gibson not bounce back

Saros >> Gibson as an asset and a player. Nylander seems around fair value for him

I'll bet you can get Grubauer from Seattle for a lot less than Nylander and even get them to take Mrazek in the same transaction. Looking at what happened to both Driedger and Grubauer after they went west. I believe that to be the Kraken effect and not a true indication of how those goalies can play. Grubauer especially had the history even with Washington who were not a significantly better defensive club in 14-18 than the Leafs are today.

There's not enough tier 1 goalies to trade a young 30 goal scorer whose blossom into one of the best playoff scorers in the league for. Last 8 goals in 14 games have been on Price and Vasilevskiy and he will only get better by next season.

Saros is not a proven elite goalie for heavy workloads. All his elite numbers can be replicated in the same amount of games with goalies we already have. He can quickly fall into a tier 2/3 goalie on another team playing 50+ games a year. We don't even know how much of impact Predators style of play has on his past numbers too.

Gibson has upside that can match Saros 20/21 numbers here over more games. Even if he costs a lot, that "a lot" won't be Nylander kind of a lot. Majority opinion in the league is Gibson is still a tier 2 goalie so why trade Nylander for Saros who is not a proven tier 1?

I like Saros and think he's really good, it's the asset management I don't like.

From my understanding, they've only been mentioned as possible replacements for Mrazek, not additions to Mrazek, but fair enough.

Normally I'd say goalies are too risky for a deal like that, but Saros would give me pause at least, due to his cap hit, term, age, and level of consistency. I guess it would depend what options existed for patching that Nylander hole, and where things stood on Nylander's likelihood of re-signing for a reasonable deal when his contract was up. Saros isn't being traded anyway though.

Nashville isn't trading saros. That's a fantasy

Saros isn't getting traded. No team is trading their #1 g

Nylander is an unattainable fantasy addition for many teams. Put some respect on this name if you're putting him in trade offers.

If I'm trading Nylander I'm going big, like Nylander + 1st + Liljegren for Makar kind of blockbuster trades. If there's even any small sliver of doubt we might not get the best player in the deal, get that trade offer out of my face.

Nylander with very comparable stats to Debrincat. Most would expect Debrincat to go for an absolute haul and he has a 9+ million QO coming.

The Nylander slander on these boards is comical at times.
