Awful deal, we give up Nylander and Dermott, where Nylander is under contracts for another 3 years and Dermott whose a RFA so he's a cost controlled assets for two UFAS and Hagel who is worse then Nylander in every way.
Murphy signed an extension early into this season. But regardless, it’s still an awful deal.

I mean, he's been bad for a stretch of two months now, I think it's bigger than a slump at this point.

Since jan 25, its not 2 month its 1

lol with respect - I think I'm watching over the stats an adequate amount, thank you. The numbers don't lie in telling us that, while no one is perfect, other goalies find ways to save those shots where Jack has struggled and hasn't been able to. He's getting beat by pucks going through and under him - a bad sign from the the eye test where you know even there it represents red flags.

Stl

-Oreilly all alonein a kind of late breakaway
- shot/pass deflected on matthews skated : no chance to stop it
3rd : 2on 0
4th play against sense when campbell tried to protect for a wrap around : no chance to make that stop.
5th campbell tried to save wrap around and mikkola all alone in front of the net. It was probably the only one that campbell has a chance tonstop.

4 of 5 goal campbell didnt have any chance.

NYR
1st ; reaves all alone, have time to replace perfletly the puck on bis stick and take a perfect shot. No chance to stop it.
2nd only weak goal
3rd cross crease right i front the net
4th puck deflected twice and goes roght on strome stick no chance
5th kreider all alone in front the net, he deflected the shot and take his rebound no chance.

Of 10 goal 8 of them go in without any kind of chance to make a save

1 he had a small chance to stop it

1weak goal.

I suggest to watch again both game against stl and game vs NYR and tell me after if he really deserved stats he get during those game.

Nice recap, thanks but no thank you. We'll agree to disagree instead of nit picking over a few goals from a couple games as if that really matters.

If you can’t address the goaltending issue, you still need to try to upgrade in the other areas. Muzzin’s cap should absolutely be used at the deadline, regardless of our goaltending situation, imo.

I disagree. Or at least no rentals. If you can find a piece with term, sure, maybe, but if we spend assets on a rental upgrade just to have our goaltending flame out in the first round, that’d be a massive mistake

If Willie is being anchored by JT and they won't break up 16/34 or trade 16 because he is too good and Willie does not work with Kampf and JT won't waive, what are your options ???
I still think willy should centre his own line. And Willys potted a few despite Taveras being an absolute hog. It's sad BC willy could have easily had 7-8 more assists if JT buried his chances. Maybe try willy at c and jt at wing because he is just to slow. Taveras takes the faceoffs though.

Because thats where everything started

Before those game 0.927 % save
He played 5 game on 27 under 0.900% save ( 19 % )

After those 2 game, so last 9 game 0.863% save
He played 6 game under 0.900% ( 67 % of game played)

So dont tell me those game you dont give any kind of values didn't affect his game.

There is no argument to be had.

Leafs are one of the better teams at suppressing high danger chances but are 27th ranked in 5v5 sv%.

No one can defend this.

Im agree but High danger chance is not perfect

You let a guy all alone 5 time during a game and let make everything he want

Vs
let take 10 for high danger area but with your body or your strick in shooting lane.

Statisticly, you will look better with the 1st scenario but the 1st scenario, youre probably giving up like 3-4 or 5 goal and second scenario 0 or maybe 1.

Its not just how many high danger scoring you allowed, its also how you react on those scoring chance. That thing you cant put any stats on it

Toronto is one of the worst team against the rush...

Blockbuster with Vancouver.

To Toronto: Bo Horvat + Brock Boeser + Tanner Pearson + Luke Schenn

To Vancouver: William Nylander + Alex Kerfoot + Justin Holl

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Tavares - Horvat - Boeser

Soucy and Drieger from Seattle should be the leafs two main targets. Besides this season Driedger put up fantastic numbers and soucy is a very solid d who can play both sides. Both are signed for 2 and 3 years.
Soucy interests me a good deal, as he can either really solidify our top 4 if Muzzin returns, or he can help partially replace Muzzin in case he is out for the season.

If Muzzin returns:
Reilly - Brodie
Muzzin - Soucy
Sandin - Lyub
Dermott/Kral - Holl/Liljgren

If Muzzin remains out:
Reilly - Brodie
Soucy - Holl/Liljgren
Sandin - Lyub

IMO getting a D who can play both sides just makes a ton of sense.
In case Muzzin doesn't come back or if we have even more injuries (which we will) it helps a ton.

You get a little bigger, and a little meaner on the back end.
Adding Soucy and Lyub in the same month or so is a really solid start to getting more playoff ready.

Id pass on Drieger, but would be interested in Jarnkrok or Cholowski

Campbell right now is not enough good, campbell knows it, dubas and keefe knows it everybody knows it.

I just thinking is just too easy to put all the blame on his shoulder. Yes yestarday and against columbus was awful and cost columbus game. But since dec1, toronto are not playing the same way than the first 2 month, except the last 3 game.

Still 10 game to play until trade deadline. Leafs need to play very defensive game like they did last 3 and let see if goalie can bounce back on track before push panic buttom.

Dec to jan 20 i was worried about defensive, since yes like everyone im worried by goaltending. Maybe he just need a rest, dont forget he didnt get it during all star weeked.

I just saying just stay calm and let see what hapen.

What are people's thoughts on Debrusk? Wasn't Boston looking to move on from him?
Could be a guy to play a role like Bunting on the Tavares line.

Maybe something like Mikheyev and Dermott for Debrusk and a pick?

I hate him. I hope he never wears a leaf jersey. But I could be convinced otherwise - there are a few posters here who seem to think he will make a good fit.

Why would we give up so much, mikheyev has almost the same amount of goals in half the games.

I'd do Mikheyev straight up.

They have similar stats but Debrusk plays a style of play I'd rather see in this lineup.

NHL Trade Chatter: Does Ristolainen Make Sense For The Bruins? | Boston Hockey Now

Could Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen be the rugged defenseman the Boston Bruins are looking for on the NHL trade market?

In his latest 32 Thoughts and on The Jeff Marek show, Sportsnet Insider Elliotte Friedman said that he believes Ristolainen will indeed get moved before the March 21 NHL Trade deadline.

“I think Rasmus Ristolainen gets moved. He wants a playoff series,” Friedman wrote. “Not only do I understand the desire to finally get a chance after almost 600 games, but I could see Ristolainen thinking postseason style as beneficial for his market value.”

A few calls to NHL pro scouts around the league Friday seemed to give a resounding yes to Ristolainen being what the Bruins lack so dearly on their blue line, with one even saying he heard that Bruins general manager Don Sweeney and his staff likely have the former and longtime Sabres blueliner on their trade target board for the upcoming NHL trade deadline because they’ve targeted him in the past, specifically right before the Flyers acquired Ristolainen from the Buffalo Sabres last July.”

“I heard from numerous folks around the league that Sweeney was in on him,” the scouts said of the Bruins’ interest in Ristolainen last summer. “I think he, like some other interested teams, just didn’t want to pay that price for him.”

Because Debrusk.makes over 3M. We would have to trade more than one body to make the money work. That's why I included a pick coming our way as well, since we only have 3 picks this draft.

Debrusk gives us the feisty element to add to that Tavares line like Bunting going into the playoffs that Mikheyev doesn't have in him.

The Bruins lack a terrible defensemen on their team? Why I agree, they should trade multiple 1st round picks for him.

How about we target feisty players that are actually upgrades.

Ristolainen makes no sense for anyone interested in winning a hockey game.
