Mayo
Lyubushkin
Stralman

That's how the right side has looked all season. When any if them were injured or were a healthy scratch, Chychrun moved over and Capobianco came in on the left.

On the PP he plays mostly on the right most likely for the one timer option.

Late in games when they are trying to tie it up, it's Gostisbehere on the left and Chychrun on the right.

I'm quite sure this is more about necessity for a RHD than it is about showcasing him.

and if that is the case. Sure. It was presented on here by Arizona fans as a potential showcase
On right. But that makes sense. I’m not going to pretend to have watched a whole lot of coyotes

Countdown to TradeCentre: Ducks ready to sell UFAs if unsigned - TSN.ca

New Anaheim Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek is laying his cards on the table ahead of the trade deadline.

Verbeek told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun in The Athletic that he intends to move the team's pending unrestricted free agents if they have not been signed an extension before March 21. That list of players includes defencemen Hampus Lindholm and Josh Manson, as well as forward Rickard Rakell, who's on pace to top 20 goals this season.

“I think going into this, I’m looking at it like we could make the playoffs, we could miss the playoffs,’’ Verbeek told LeBrun. “At the end of the day, there’s no guarantee I can get those three free agents back. I’m going to attempt to sign them, if it doesn’t happen, I just can’t let them walk out the door free.’’

LeBrun reported last week that the Ducks have opened extension talks with Lindholm, but the 28-year-old is atop the wish list of many contenders ahead of the deadline. Signed at a cap hit of $5.2 million, Lindholm has five goals and 20 points in 53 games this season.

Manson, who carries a $4.1 million cap hit, has three goals and seven points in 43 games this season.

Rakell carries the lowest cap hit of the group at $3.79 million. He has 14 goals and 25 points in 45 games this season.

The Ducks, who suffered a 4-0 defeat to the New York Islanders on Sunday, currently sit two points back of the Dallas Stars for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference with three more games played.

Verbeek, though, said that his aspirations for the Ducks go well beyond this season.

“My goal is to improve the team as best I can and as fast as I can,’’ Verbeek said. “So I’m not saying ‘No’ to anything, I’m open to anything.’’

My personal plan A would be a top 4 RHD to run

rielly Brodie
Sandin Xxxxxx
Muzz. Lilly

next year thar could be larson. Manson if he would re sign.

if we could get lindholm if muzz is done thar would be a plan. I think lindholm and rakell will sign together in the offseason

I don't think the problem is giving up Niemela or Knies, it's giving up Sandin or Liljegren for Chychrun.
I'd rather give up Sandin in a deal for Chychrun, since he'd be a direct replacement, and Sandin will command a decent raise soon.
Knies, and Niemela are a bigger team needs as cheap futures, rather than Sandin who will need to be paid sooner, Especially Knies, as the Leafs have not developed a quality Power Forward (drafted) since Wendel Clark

Still believe our best bet is a package of Chychrun and Crouse.

To Toronto-
Chychrun
Crouse

To Arizona-
1st Round Pick
Sandin
Kerfoot
Engvall

I like the idea of Chychrun and Crouse. I do wonder though, is Crouse a good second line guy, or a very good third line guy? Is Crouse the guy to shake up the second line, which is clearly having some issues right now?

I think you need another transaction.... and I don't think I move Sandin either.

Chychrun Crouse - 1st round pick Niemala, Holl, Kerfoot, SDA

Giroux @ 50% - Robertson

Well ask yourself this, did we all think Bunting was a first line player? We can't have all skill and no fight on every line. The first line works great because you have Bunting who is relentless on the puck and causing havoc for Matthews and Marner to do what they do, while also having the skill to create and finish his own opportunities as well. Crouse can bring that same element to the second line for Tavares and Nylander.

I would say Crouse is what people expected/wanted Ritchie to be. Except he's better defensively and a much better skater. I think he could succeed on the second line but I think he would be better suited for the third.

Nylander for Carrier straight up. Nylander the more valuable player. Carrier is better value as a top 4 RHD locked in under 750k for this year and next.

Straight up would be disgustingly bad for us. Add Holl & Forsberg. We’d have to be confident that Forsberg can re-sign too.

I really think Sandin and Liljegren should be kept. I'd target soucy and manson.

Toronto
Soucy 2.75 million

Seattle
2022 2nd
Rubins

Toronto
Manson 4.1 million

Anaheim
1st 2023 (Top 15 Protected)
Dermott 1.5 million

With Muzzins Ltir at 5.6 and dermott out at 1.5 leafs would have 7.1 million in space. Soucy and Manson would equal 6.875 million in. The leafs blue line would be big nasty and really well balanced with injury depth as well.
