do you think alex nylander could be had as a reclamation project. (if he stays in the hawks system) seems to have stalled currently in the ahl again

i think being around will might give him a extra gear

however id expect to pay a small price if it were to occur
It would have to be something small like a Hollowell or Kivihalme swap.

He's a solid player too.. but the Predators are in the thick of a playoff spot chase, so it's doubtful they would move him, unless their fortunes change.

Vancouver seems down and out, and likely to make changes.

Forsberg is a UFA at the end of the year, Miller has next year as well.... both would be very costly, but at least with Miller, you get two years, instead of one.

For me, when I'm looking at teams that might move players, I'm either looking at teams that seem out of it already, or maybe players that need a change of scenery.

Arizona, Habs, Vancouver seem to be mostly out of it right now, so those are places to look to shake something loose. Teams in the playoff hunt, seem less likely to make moves.

Maybe something like Ritchie + for Crouse .. Ritchie is signed through next year and could help get Arizona to the cap floor.

Crouse is a RFA this year and has had a solid start. With control beyond this year adding an asset could be worth it (depending on what it is).

Miller is the obvious name from Vancouver. But Tanner Pearson might be a good fit here as well though some cap would have to be worked out).

I don't really see anyone on Montreal that they would move.

Edmonton is desperate for a LD. I know Dermott is depth 4 us but would it be worth dealing him to the Oil and get something more than his current value? Perhaps a pick plus? Do we have anyone in our pool that would be a suitable 7th D if he goes?

Crouse is an obvious target, unless Ritchie really begins to find his game. I’d give him a few more games. That said, I like Crouse anyway.

I’ve been flipping channels tonight between the Habs and Canucks game. Miller is an absolute beast when he wants to be. Just bowled over one of the Penguins D in the corner. Plays a hard game. Pearson is kind of mediocre to me.

I wonder if you could shake Chiarot out of Montreal. Pending UFA, and I’d love to add some physicality on the back end.

Both the Canucks and Habs are playing terrible tonight. Habs outshot 24-9 so far, down 4-1. Lol.

Definitely could put it's a high price apparently. Thought the rumour was Bergevin wanted a 1st. Probably not worth it.

I wonder if Chicago would bite on Joey Anderson for Alex Nylander.

I’m obsessed with the idea of Muzzin to oilers for 1st and then sending 2 1sts to Arizona for chychrun

Lou hasn't made his classic trade valueable young assets for veteran depth player move yet and the Islanders are reeling. I imagine he pulls the trigger on something once everyone is off the Covid list.

Dobson+ for Holl seems fitting... Would be terrible for the Islanders but Lou loves his middle of the lineup depth guys and overpaying for them.

They need to get healthy first .. I could see Lou moving Beauvillier

Doubt Lou has gone senile yet. Dobson and plus for Holl? Good luck.

Canadians are pretty much a tire fire at this point, Petry would really solidify leafs D
Petry 10% retained (5.6)
for
1st, + SDA, + Holl (2), Mik (1.6)

Then deal Dermott in a secondary deal

Ya, I want Dubas to stick to his original philosophy of targeting young undervalued players with term.
Personally I'm not interested in moving futures this year for temporary/short term fixes. This team should be able to get past the 1st round without any adds
