Yeah, somehow in IAHockey25's world losing your franchise player and your second best forward in one offseason = Wild get MOAR BETTER!

No offense, but give your head a shake.
Wow, Goal posts moved. You said they would have a top 10 pick if KK wasn't able to come back. Hyporbalies at its finest by you and then attack me.

I would love for you to make an argument about how the current team without Kap wouldn't be bottom 10 in the league.

Says I don't have a clue. Gets mad when I clap back. Sounds about right.

I wonder who will be targeted this season as the “ locker room problem” ?
Right now is doesnt seem like anyone because everyone still in the locker room gets along

99/100 people get along whos the real problem the 99 people or the one person?

With that said I dont even really think Fiala was a locker room problem (if thats what youre implying about) I dont think anything has come out saying he was? (I easily could of missed it if there was) but it seems like at this point its just fans trying to make a narrative against him

naming teams doesnt make an argument. Seattle should be better this season, Anaheim signed some FA to help them improve, Jersey is looking to add an impact player to improve, Columbus just added JG, Detroit bought a lot of players in FA. with just those clubs we would be 9th overall just according to your list

With how much free agency has stopped across the nhl, including reporters taking a break, is the nhl smart enough that maybe for a year or two, they need to turn off the cap so to speak so all the players, and its seems alot needing jobs can have one?

No. The cap will start going back up in a couple of years. Kadri and Klingberg are the only oddities as far as not being signed within the 1st couple of days.

Jersey, Columbus, Buffalo, Vegas, Winnipeg will all be better than Minnesota without Kap. Anaheim has substantially better goaltending than us.

Teams that will for sure be worse than us: Arizona, Chicago, Philadelphia

We would be right in the mix with Seattle, San Jose, Montreal and Detroit.

I feel like I should call you guys the CNN/Fox crew. Excellent narrative pushing.
You're finger pointing in the wrong direction. Suter, Parise, and now Fiala have clearly been scapegoated in the recent past, and not by me.

GM, coach, former players, etc all talked about how Suter was an awful teammate. Guerin himself didn’t even want to buy out Parise initially and that was all throughout when Parise was complaining about ice time. Just Suter. That says a lot to me. And people here are still complaining that he was bought out.

I think posters on here are trying to shoe horn the Fiala situation as the same as Parise/Suter. It’s not. It never has been. Guerin’s hand was forced by deals signed a decade ago. I haven’t seen anything to seriously suggest that Fiala wouldn’t still be with the Wild if they didn’t have the dead cap hits.

Do tell who is pushing the narrative that Fiala was a locker room issue.

Mine was tongue in cheek. Though pissing off Talbot was so random.

Talbot shit the bed during the middle of the season and then got mad when Guerin went out and got an equal goaltender. If he didn't play like shit, then I doubt MAF would have been traded for in the first place.

Why is just Talbot? The entire team shit the bed during the middle of the season.

More so, Guerin/Evason were hinting early in the season they were wanting to get a better goaltender or were kicking the tires on a goaltender. And at this point, Fleury isn't really an equal goaltender. He is much older (and there is a lot of evidence Fleury is going to implode) and his numbers were significantly worse than Talbots in the last few months.

January and February Talbot looked shaky, but I love how everyone ignores he was INJURED.

Goligoski looked terrible in January. Hartman - the number 1 center had 5 goals and 6 assists in 20 games...Between December to February, Hartman only scored 7 goals in 28 games - a significant decrease from his 12 in 22.

The team looked terrible in January and February.

Eriksson Ek was a whopping - 6 with 3 goals and 2 assists in February.

Foligno had 0 points in February and was a -6!

Spurgeon had 1 goal and 4 assists

Goligoski had 5...FIVE POINTS in 37 games from February to April. He had one good month in November with 11 points in 13 games and wouldn't score another goal the entire season. And yet he's brought back with no competition?

I feel like on the flip side, if Guerin did nothing, that you would be sitting here complaining about how Guerin didn't do anything to improve the team while our goaltending was sinking our chances every night.

It's not like Guerin wasn't trying to improve those other positions. Jost was an interesting pickup. He traded Kahk for Middleton to put a bandaid on the 2nd pair. He got Deslaurier as a physical 3rd/4th liner.

The team went 12-1-6 January through February..... So bad.....

Talbot was clearly among the worst players on our team during his swoon. Comparing him to Goligoski says all you need to say without realizing it.

Actually, I have been a huge backer of Kahkonen since he was drafted and thought he should have been given more of a chance here. Young goaltenders have really high highs and really low lows. Just happens with young goaltenders. But Fleury was not an option. If they decided to go after a younger goaltender, I'd be happier than going after Fleury. Love Fleury as a person, but he isn't the answer for this team.

And he signed back Goligoski.

Propped up by Gaudreau, Fiala (traded and only had 'three' good months), Boldy and Kaprizov. The defense was shaky and Hartman, Foligno and JEE disappeared.

We now have a young goalie in Filip Gustavsson. So in a roundabout way, we have a similar tandem going into next season compared to last season. Just different names.

I would have preferred to have Kahkonen instead of Middleton because I don't think Middleton is that great. I also recognize that my opinion on that is a minority opinion on HF Wild.
