I'm going to guess that players are still looking for more term than we should be looking to hand out, a la Deslauriers.

There hasn't been many (if any) contracts given out yet that I would have liked MN to have gotten instead of another team. So waiting seems like the correct thing to do.

Well expecting Rossi to be better than a plug in the NHL next season, when he wasn't better than NHL plugs (Rask and Dewar) sent to the AHL last year, doesn't make much sense to me.

Rossi should surpass plug quality player. I just don't see it happening next season.

Rossi's AHL status last year was 95% related to his contract being able to slide, and keeping him an ELC throughout the entire buyout years.

Don't act like he had a fair shot to make the roster in any significant manner.

I'm just looking at the amount of pages per signing. None have passed 20 pages and only a handful have passed 10 pages.

MTL, EDM, and TOR being very quiet so far I think help the stability of the site.

The real test will be when Gaudrau and Kadri sign their ridiculous deals.

He was also > a point-per-game something like 30-35 games into the season. He absolutely gets called up under different circumstances.

Only thing for me so far would be Samsonov (if Talbot would've been traded for a pick). But yeah, not much else.

Wow. Just got off work and scrolled through the deals handed out today. Looks like players are making out even better than normal on free agency day. Deslauries for 4 years at 1.9? Yikes. Glad Guerin has only been watching from the sideline.

Smart by Guerin to wait, of course UFA's who still haven't signed after a week or two will become cheaper.

After watching that video (prospect thread) Rossi's skinny frame surprised me. How will he handle the NHL? It looks easy to knock him off the puck, but hopefully I'm wrong.

I wouldn't mind bringing Nino back, I always liked him, but not for what he'll probably get on the open market.
I have an irrational wish for this to happen. It won't, I'm not sure how we could afford it.... but Nino was my favorite when he was wearing a wild sweater. Streakiness and all...

One name it seemed they had interest last year was Dvorak. Wonder if that interest is no longer after his down year?

Wasn't really a down year, it's on par with every other year. He's just a third line center.
