If we get 7OA I’ll be happy. Anything else, I’ll be mildly dissapointed
i make that same spelling error frequently... but i am banking on disappointment. his lack of wanting to win trades just makes me think its gonna be for a 2nd and a b prospect that maybe plays 4th line in the future.

I think the biggest issue I have with Guerin is he too loyal with his guys. I wouldn't have signed back Goligoski and looked at moving Dumba over Fiala.

My biggest concern is that Dumba walks next year or the Wild will have to trade Dumba at the deadline in lieu of him not signing an extension. And then the Wild lose both Fiala and Dumba. And they could have moved Dumba this off-season to try and keep Fiala.

Didn't show a lot of loyalty to Parise or Suter.

So many Wild fans don't understand what's really going on when it comes to Fiala. The short version...he doesn't get along very well with management and coaches, that's why a change of scenery will be better for him.

You may also discuss how big of a loss he really is, Fiala only had 40 points by the end of Jan last season. Then, as Guerin said, he had three good months and played like a true star, only to become a huge disappointment in the playoffs. Inconsistency is a problem with him, and this could have an impact on the trade return, especially when there are so many good UFA's this year.

Didn't know there was such an obvious market for an injury-prone dman who's average in his own zone, slightly above average elsewhere, making 6 million and headed for free agency.

Do you give a locker room and community leader away for a fourth-round pick and somebody's else's problem?

Have to hope Dumba regains some confidence I think and then you can re-sign him for a slightly below market contract based on his friendships and the loyalty he has been shown by the org.

I think the biggest issue I have with Guerin is 13 million in dead cap he created while holding the obstinate position that this team will be a contender next season.

We read the same Twitter crap you do.

How big a loss Fiala is will be TBD, but it's highly contingent on what they replace him with. If it really is going to be Rossi then there's definitely upside there but he's got a looong road ahead of him, especially at center. Sky's the limit for Boldy, but again it'll take time.

The "three good months" talk is politician-level ridiculous.

Geurins comments are just anti media forcing a Dumba trade down our throats to keep Fiala as if that is the ONLY way to keep one or the other which is untrue.

In his interview, Guerin defended Dumba a lot. Guerin is also big on high character guys like Dumba. Finally, I wouldn't be surprised if Guerin had something to do with Dumba getting the A this season. Dumba also mentioned he really liked Guerin (would run through a wall for him). Guerin sees Dumba as part of Minnesota's future.

Guerin is going to really mess up this trade isn't he? He's going after lower cost guys that can play. My hope is that is code for higher end prospects.

Jamie Benn. need at least one on this team.
Can safely say the Wild won't be doing a trade for a guy making 9.5 million who is a team captain and possesses a NMC. Gurianov and their 2023 1st might be realistic but the Stars have a very intriguing prospect pool and are definitely in a position where the future is now.

As long as Guerin gets fair value in the trades, I don't view either playing getting moved as bad things. Emphasis on the first half of that sentence.
