trading Greenway seems like an inevitability. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just give him away at this point.
He reiterated that the drivers were his overly relaxed attitude and cap hit. I'm sure they'd like to make something happen now, but it might end up making more sense in the summer if they really don't want cap coming back.

Seravalli thinks we're done, or at least that Guerin's been much less active after trading for Johansson/Nyquist (27:33).

Makes sense. Sitting on a pile of cap room, needing a Center with Domi available for a future 2nd that fills scoring and faceoff needs. Might as well be done.

Yeah, I get it if they try and nothing decent materializes, but grabbing Johansson and Nyquist and calling it there would be weird.

Not that Seravalli's the last word on this stuff, but he's been relatively tuned in the last few years.

So who goes to the press box now with way way way too many middling forwards?

Kap Hart Zucc
Boldy Ek Nyquist
Greenway Gudreau Foligno
Marjo Dewer Shaw Reaves Duhaime Steel

Maybe Shaw gets sent down and Steel gets waived and one body in the press box

Shaw requires waivers. He's not going anywhere. Roster limit also goes away after the deadline. Maybe they put Steel on waivers so he could be eligible for Iowa if they make the playoffs. Otherwise they just keep everyone. Or maybe still trade Reaves.

Also said there are no takers on Dumba. Why not? So Russo thinks they'll just let him walk.

I thought Shaw could be sent down? Can Dewer be sent down? Swear it was one of them.

Only Boldy and Addison are waivers exempt. Rossi was the other one on the team to start the season.

Shaw needed waivers last season, and passed though again at the start of this season. Dewar lose his waivers exempt status at the end of last season.

Probably at the price they're asking. Lower the price enough and he'd be easy to give away, but we're better off keeping him through the playoffs than giving him away for what price others are currently willing to offer in return.

A Wild top line center controversy would be a good problem to finally have after 23 years :P
There have been plenty of those. Just...none of those involved have actually been top line centers though. I would also say, the possible controversy listed above would get included in that list as well. I'd go so far as to say, this team has really never had what I'd consider a legit 1st line center in it's entire history. Koivu was my fav player. And for all intents and purposes, on most any team that has center depth, Koivu was still likely only a 2nd line center. Albeit a damn good one.

Gotta get multiple top line center caliber players to have a real top line center controversy. No controversy because we've barely ever even had even 1 of those, let alone 2 to qualify.

Because he's not very good and has a 6m cap hit. If we didn't have Dumba would you want to trade for him for a playoff push? What does he bring to this team that other teams would want? He has no offense, and is notorious for major defensive gaffs.

Most teams that wanted defense already acquired better defenders. Most playoff teams don't have the cap space for him even at 50%.

I just don’t understand why we should have to let Dumba walk and pay a 4th rd pick to move greenway for future considerations because Kevin had 3 good months!!

Oh wait ….errrrrr yah
