Seravalli thinks we're done, or at least that Guerin's been much less active after trading for Johansson/Nyquist (27:33).

Man if that’s the case Guerin needs to go find another gig. None of this crap makes any sense. Half measure bullshit makes me angrier than doing nothing.

Well I don't think the the US military would take him anymore. His half measure bullshit would fit right in, so would his hurry up and waiting, and the having a good locker room would just be the icing on the cake for promotions.

BG is going to sit on his hands while a divisional opponent gets better by acquiring the piece on the market that fits our needs best. We don't need to send cap back, or have them retain at all. Just match the pick.

Unless Dallas is upping it to a future first for the complications, sitting by and letting that happen is nutz.

Until I see the return I'm meh.

I'm not a fan of his game, and wouldn't be interested at all if MN wasn't so desperate for anyone to play 1C.

So are you saying we need to up our game? Go find 2pair and bring him out of whatever hole he's been locked away in?
What we lack in outright nastiness we make up for in passive aggressiveness.

While I dislike half-measures, I try to temper my reactions by remembering that the more of the roster you turn over, the more growing pains there will be before cohesion. Make too many changes and your team won't be cohesive by playoff time.

So that's a yes or a no?

Is the team a cohesive unit now? If so then they are just not good. I see it is Kap is the adhesive that keeps his line and the PP working. The time Kap isn't on the ice the team has no chemistry between their lines.

Domi is on his 6th team in his first 8 seasons. He's only been on playoff teams twice. If he was some kind of difference maker, he would last more than 2 seasons in any of his 5 previous stops.

TBF he's been past the 1st round each of those Playoffs. I thought he played well last year in his bottom-6 role for CAR.

Domi would probably be a decent fit next to Kaprizov, but he's not a difference maker. His point totals this year lie. His presence doesn't make or break anything in terms of playoff results.

I will say I’m really looking forward to Nyquist bumping some plug further down the lineup. That’s a good thing

With the West as bunched as it is, difference maker is subjective. He can score and win face offs. He plays C, our weakest position.

He apparently isn't costing more than a 2nd. Comes with no term.

Pretty much exactly what we would be looking for in a rental.

He would make the team better I'm a western conference with no great teams. Instead were going to let him go to a division rival to make them better.

Yeah Domi going to the Stars isn’t a great outcome. Would’ve preferred to give up the 2nd and get a look to see if he could be potentially a short-term solution for the next 2 years.

Guerin did say a while ago he wasn't going to move 1sts and 2nds for rentals so it shouldn't be a surprise.
