Well that just clicked for me

If you can get Chycrun for Addison + Lambos + 2nd I would probably do it. He’d QB the popper play so Addison would almost have to go the other way. I’d offer up our first this year, but then we’d have to downgrade Lambos quite a bit.
That’s how I feel about Chychrun. I’d think about the first instead of the second without downgrading from Lambos as it is.

This year you look at:
- Chychrun - Spurgeon
- Brodin - Dumba
- Middleton - Merrill (Faber when eligible to sign)
- Goligoski

Next year they roll into the year with:
- Chychrun - Spurgeon
- Brodin - Faber
- Middleton - Merrill
- Goligoski

Can still slow play the D prospects. Team can win reasonably well enough with that D and their goaltending. Bide your time on your forward prospects filtering in.

If they could get Chycrun for that they should take it and run. I don't have a problem bumping it up to a Playoff (ish) protected 1st.

Other than draft position, what has Lambos done to have him at a much different value than Hunt, Peart, or ROR? I have Addison at the value of a 2nd rounder.

I question what a "boatload" is in Guerin's eyes. It also feels like conflicting messages. Guerin said he's motivated to be a buyer less than a week ago, but he's going to sell Dumba if someone offers a boatload? If you're a buyer, then you shouldn't be selling pieces unless you're upgrading that spot.

Covering all his bases so if he doesn't make a trade he can say "well I wanted to but nothing was there"

If Billy G wants to make a trade, a trade happens. It might not be the best trade, but he seems to enjoy the making of trades too much to just sit on his hands.

Jeannot scratched for a trade. This smells like something Guerin would love to overpay on.

And losing Steel/Shaw in some minor deal. Also wouldn’t mind moving one of Foligno/Greenway if they can bring back something.

I think that's why it would have to be a boatload. Basically, he won't move him for fair value at this point because he's a buyer now. But if someone offers four times his value? Well, then yeah maybe you say "screw it" and take the deal because it's a once-in-a-career offer. Never close the door completely, you don't know what kind of fool might come along.

If some team and offered the same return Horvat or ROR got for Dumba you'd be dumb not to take it. Dumba isn't the difference between MN winning or losing the Cup this year. He might not even be the difference between making the Playoffs or not. STL did something similar with Shattenkirk a few years ago when they were a Playoff team.

Really outside of Kap, JEE, and Wallstedt nobody should be untouchable for MN. JEE only makes the list because MN has nothing else at center besides him, even upgrading them leaves MN in the same 1 center team they are in now.

There are a bunch of d-men on the market right now for much lower cost that that. Heck trade Dumba for a dumb return and flip it to AZ for Chycrun.

Watched him recently?

I don't see how Rossi helps MN's lack of scoring. He won't be on the good PP unit, and the bad PP unit is a lost cause. The PK is doing great.

Calling Rossi up as the big TDL add to the team is just setting him up to fail. I agree with GMBG's comments that it's too much to put on the shoulders of a kid who hasn't found his way in the NHL.

Team shouldn't be buying anyway, so if they wanna bring up Rossi to see how he looks again as their big deadline acquisition, that's fine with me
