Better than what we got.
"Better than what we got" is how you end up with a mediocre team with cap problems
Better than what we got.
They need to get 97 a center sooner than later. When his contract is up i guarantee he's signing somewhere else. The next 2 and a half years is gonna be hot garbage."Better than what we got" is how you end up with a mediocre team with cap problems
Ha ha ha. Don’t give up on your dreams.Granlund easily puts up 70-80 pts playing with Kap and Zucc …..Freddy has largely failed there and isn’t close to the same level of a player as Granny. I’d send a 2nd and Beckman to Preds for Granlund 40% retained.
Ha ha ha. Don’t give up on your dreams.
He better be. He's paid 6 times as much as Steel.Granny is a much better player
Moving on from those three at the same time is admission that we are in a soft rebuild and I don’t think Guerin has the balls.how far out of a playoff spot do we need to be for BG to sell you think? trying to catch up and read all up on Greenway and Dumba, id be happy to trade Greenway Foligno and Dumba. The greef line is good when all 3 are healthy and together but if 1 is missing that line blows. those 3 should fetch some decent futures.
Would you take him over Gudreau? He better be. He's paid 6 times as much as Steel.
Granny is a much better player
Rask? I had a sentimental spot for Rask, and even I think this is hyperbole. Not as a center. Rask was a better center than Granny.

I think Granlund would be the best center Kaprizov has had, in spite of it being Granlund's worst forward position, and his advancing hockey-age. The next best is Hartman, also a natural winger, but less skilled. The only reason you'd make a move for Granlund at $3M/year is to keep the team competitive through the next two years. If you think they can't remain competitive anyway, you don't make the move. I think he'd be the best $3M(or less) center on the market for that scoring role.
That doesn't take into account the assets it would take to acquire and keep him. I don't know exactly what it is, but I have a feeling I wouldn't like the price.
We sure as hell better be starting a soft rebuild… take the fans out of the seats for a season or two. take the L and get us some higher draft picks.Moving on from those three at the same time is admission that we are in a soft rebuild and I don’t think Guerin has the balls.

Please sell Foligno greenway and dumba for futures. Cmon billy! The team will turn it around again and go on a little run at some point here, just like they did after a slow start to the season. It's still not a roster you buy at the deadline with. Don't try to force something that isn't there.
I don’t see Steel as much of an NHLer. Granlund has played Center well for the preds at times according to their board.Steel = Granny as a center.

Outside of production I agree Foligno is not an issue, teams would want him though that’s why I say sell him. He does not need to be resigned. Agree dumba and greenway traded in separate deals. All three for futures and maybe an expiring cap dump where needed.Foligno's play has been treacherous this year, but he's not due for a new contract this summer and he doesn't have character issues, so I don't see him going. Get rid of Dumba and Greenway without trading prospects/picks higher than a 3rd for replacement players and that's a win in my book.
Strome or Domi would both have been much better options than the $4M in unused cap space.I forget that Dylan Strome was out there last summer for $3.5M
Not having too bad of a season.
The biggest issue with Ek is he is like Koivu. He doesn't gel with offensive wingers. They tried Ek with Kap and it didn't work.
if we traded dumba to buffalo for tuch what would we have to add? i can picture boldy / ? / tuch. make it so #1
