Toronto Sports Media Discussion Thread - v6 (2021 Edition)

Glad Kyper is back, however Scott MacArthur should be there also.
He was very knowledgeable about the NHL and baseball. I actually started listening to the morning show again because of Scotty Mac.

Which Leafs fans is expecting Bunting to score 35/40 goals?
We expect him to score 50 goals, Noodle should get his facts straight, lol.

For real, Noodles should tone down his hot takes.

You can actually hear O sigh “here we go..” when noodles started with his nonsense today. Also I’ve had dm conversations with Hayes who will typically reply at some point unless the topic is noodles’ nonsense.
MJ or Scotty Mac would be perfect replacements IMO

Thats pretty interesting with ODog. I missed the show, but I can see ODog doing that face.

Literally no Leaf fans expect this from Bunting. Question Noodles on it and it becomes "Oh I saw some dope on twitter.." The act is just old now. Judging from the body language and overall tone, feels like Hayes/O are tired of him now too, they call him out on this stuff more so than year's past.

It would be great if MJ would replace Noodles, but looks like he's replacing Ferraro.

that’s the tripe you read on Islanders and Edmonton’s out of town threads. That’s exactly what those fans bases claim Leafs fans are saying.

Wow so like one person? I guess this applies to the majority then. Theres ridiculous fans for every team. You're doing exactly what Noodles does, applying what one single fan says and assuming the majority thinks the same way. I guarantee you I can find a ridiculous take from a bruins poster on their board. I guess that must means every bruins fan must think the same.

Go back to the Bruins board.

Sportsnet may not be as dumb as I thought.

I turned on the radio at 3:30 pm and Kypreos and Bourne were on. At first I was thinking "meh", but, I gotta say, it was good! They did an in-depth review of "All or Nothing" the way we would do on this forum. Really getting into details and talking more comprehensively about stuff they saw in the series compared to what I've heard from other media people. They were talking from 3:30 to 4:15 with, I think, only one commercial. Kypreos also spoke in a slower manner with a lot of space between his words. I think he was practicing this technique during his time off. It worked for me. It drew me in. I ended up not caring about Overdrive and happy to stick with those guys talking about "All or Nothing" in an uncensored kind of way. It was smart that The Fan had them talking from 3:55 to 4:15 as well. It's a great way to take people away from Overdrive. It's just the first show, but that was a good start, IMO. Leafs talk. No golf or other stuff.

I am usually in the car at around 10am to 12.30pm every morning. After a weekend of lots of sports on TV and so many discussion topics that come out of that I don’t understand why TSN has golf talk for two hrs during that time slot on Mondays. It’s October!

noodles is the answer. He makes up absolute lies about “leafs fans” saying this or that then goes on a diatribe about the thing he makes up.

why does tsn 1050 (aka tsn Toronto) have to have a guy to temper expectations on our prime time show, I guarantee you tsn winnipeg doesn’t have a temper expectations/rip on the local fan base guy

It starts with his wife being the producer of OverDrive.
Pretty sure TSN wants to mainly use him as play-by-play and insider hockey stuff but since he is getting paid, TSN puts him on OverDrive too.

Are you surprised that Blowfish got it wrong? I've read like 5 of their posts on here this week and they've all been dumpster quality if they involve the Leafs!
